Good advice, thanks Xorkoth. I read it after a few drinks too, so iI read it quite a few times, literally. It was kinda nice of you to say, I really do appreciate it. Thanks man :) Unfortunately I can't really go to festivals, but you'll be very near me when you'll be at Lock'n so have fun. I was gonna buy a day pass for when they had the day with Ratdog, Phil & Friends, Furthur, and thats it I think (slightly drunk) because I heard that the L at Lock'n last year was very fucking pure, so I was very excited to go on that particular day. I hope you have fun man :)
 
Yeah we're gonna have to figure out how to hide the drugs. But Delsyd and love lite have plenty of festival experience so I will have the benefit of prior experience without having any myself. :)
 
I'll let you in on one of my best kept secrets. This goes to all of my PD fam.

+ a vacuum sealer (generally for longer trips) = win.

I'm sure someone will come in to cut me down to size but shit has always worked for me. "why yes, of course you can search the car officer" ;)
 
I mean they know like everyone is bringing drugs to a festival right? They can't tear apart everyone's car, there's tens of thousands of people.

I'm hoping it will be like the Phish show, where the security guard patted my pockets once, and I had shitloads of keys, my phone, an e-cig, a bag of rolling tobacco, etc. She patted my pockets, felt that stuff and told me I was good to go. =D But I'm going to count on security being serious. I'm not bringing any weed though, I'm gonna buy some there. Just a couple of bags of powder and some hits of LSD, which should be easy to hide.

that is true, but i used to go to a lot of festies and every time i saw people getting busted for shit. so better safe than sorry imo. its best to have everything hidden really well and stay low-key in general until you get to your camping spot. they're really looking for people bringing in huge amounts of drugs and nitrous tanks and stuff, but occasionally you get an asshole security guy that just feels like giving somebody a hard time. most of the time those guys will just take your drugs but occasionally they will get the cops. its kind of just luck of the draw.

the real concern is the roads in and out, and in areas surrounding the festival imo. cops like to post up and look for any reason to stop people because they know almost everyone has drugs of some kind on them. make sure your lights, blinkers, etc etc are all working, and keep close tabs on the speed limit.

not bringing weed is extremely smart, btw. weed smell is what gets people busted 90+% of the time.

That is exactly what happened (in The Lounge). He probably is going to be the #1 poster there for August, and I think he only discovered the place maybe a week and a half before he got banned.

Yeah we already decided we were going to be super low-key, I'm not driving but the car is kosher. We'll be good, just gotta plan ahead. I'm going to spend the next couple of days thinking everything through so I'm prepared.
 
I'm planning to only take a few tabs of AL-LAD to Defqon 1 AU next month, since last year you dead set felt like you were pushing your way through a crowd of blue uniforms and fur as you walked towards the entrance. Fucking joke, more cops in the few hundred meters from the bus to the entry than most street riots LOL....made my sphincter clench up that little bit more securely %)
 
^that's why the way to a music festival generally feels like one big anxious come up to me sometimes and until i'm there seeing the music i'm generally pretty tense. I wish I could go to a more hippie gathering type of place where I was sure I was safe but you'd be really lucky to come across one of those nowadays. NKB your DXMisms are cracking me up. I have 6 paintings to do tomorrow and I still need to buy brushes :X biggest slacker ever right here but I'll get it done.

I met wacka flocka flame in person last concert I went to haha. He was eating and I was rolling on a quarter gram of mdma and a bit of mxe and I went up to him all anxiety free like, 'yoo flocka!' and I asked him why security was ruining all the trap lol
 
^^^ yep!! Which is why I can't wait until Dragon Dreaming late October :D might see a handful of "staff" on the drive into the property, then if it's anything like last year everyone's got their bong out as soon as their tents are up, out in the open.

Saw ONE SINGLE cop the entire 4 days last year....and even then, I didn't actually see them exit their vehicle. They just drove in, then eventually drove out. No fucks given :D
 
Today is a really good day so far. Received a holding deposit for the sale of my van (to be picked up and paid in full this weekend), and have put down a deposit on its replacement....which everything going well, I should be picking up by Friday. Just a little bit keeeeeeeeeeen......
 
has anyone here seen "the light"? like the white light that you immediately recognize as the one that people speak about when they die when you see it? I'm really missing it right now. I wish there was some way to know what it's like to feel that again. I've read about so many people having the same experience in trip reports, but have only talked to a few who have had it. Is it weird saying that I miss the afterlife? (in a completely non-suicidal way)

Heck yes. I only caught a handful of episodes of that show, but it's one I definitely wanna go back and watch in its entirety. As far as Guardians goes, the soundtrack is fantastic, and apparently the film was built around it, it is great fun.

Why thank you, I enjoy going back and reading them. I like my dissociated brain, don't know what's up with the irrepressible desire for repetition, but it feels right.


It occurred to me yesterday that not doing psychedelics may in fact have been more detrimental than beneficial all along.




P.S. Have fun xork! Ya'know, after all this time listening to you folks, I'm still not sure whether a festival would be something I'd find fun or completely miserable. Oh, and be sure to take a pic of your painting, if you make one (that you feel like taking a photo of).
 
when I smoke dmt I see aliens and stuff talking to me/screaming at me but I've never gone back to "the source" even with almost 60mg in one hit. When I plugged 5-meo-DMT it felt like I might go back but I was entirely not ready at all. I just really wish everyone could have that experience. Just go to erowid and make the experience intensity strong to extreme for the search and you'll find many tales of people seeing the white light. I really wish I could talk to them. I think hedgeclipper and I would have a decent amount in common, although he took not only a different drug but also 5x more.

Ended up not doing it :(
I got home and my girl had her brother and one of his friends over at our apartment, and her brother is too fond of drug use, so I decided to hold off for another night. I was kinda disappointed, cuz it looked like the perfect night to trip. It kept storming all night and the lightning strikes over the mountains looked so amazing. But oh well, I'm sure I'll have other opportunities in the near future lol.
 
5-meo-dmt seems to be corpping up in more reports recently for some reason...
still scared to try it. that and nnDMT. shit
 
Xorkoth: the security there is mainly to keep people safe, they are much less concerned with drug use. As long as you are smart, I think you'll be fine in terms of the festival. Cops around that area (not part of the festival) are assholes and aplenty, though, so watch your speed and stay under the radar!

kingme: IMO, the thing that really catches one off guard with DMT is the high, as opposed to the visuals. I have always had a hard time blasting off, so maybe it's just me, but the first few times, the high is what I was really unprepared for. I've never smoked crack or meth, but damn, if they get you higher than DMT, I bet they're addictive.
