Opioids First experience with Fentanyl

Had my first experience with Fentanyl IV today in an ambulance. i've been faking kidney stones/pain/infection to feed my addiction at the ER. To make it seem more legit, I decided to call an ambulance today instead of having a buddy go with me to say he's driving (Around here, they won't give you pain meds at the hospital IV unless you have someone with you who is driving or you can say is driving).

So the ambulance comes and I'm in "horrible" pain. I rate it a 6/10, and the EMT's were great. This was my first time ever going to the hospital in an ambulance. He asked if I wanted something for the pain and I said yes. He said he'd have to call the hospital and see if they'd order it. He was on the radio and asked to speak with a physician, and explained my situation and other things. He ultimately asked if Fentanyl would be okay, which the doctor responded "Sure." My eyes LIT UP. I have never had this before, yet have heard wonders about it. I asked the EMT about it and asked why he wanted to give me fentanyl. He said "it'd be best for the situation, in my opinion. do you want something else?" I said, "No, ive just never had it before" He said "It's like a cousin of morphine, just it's measured in mics. Im gonna give you 100 mics"

I was kind of shocked since I've read fentanyl is suppossed to only be used in opiate tolerant patients. This EMT had no idea if I was opiate tolerant. I hadn't told him (obviously) that i use opiates frequently. So he put it in through my IV and about 5 minutes later I was high, and I mean HIGH HIGH. I tried to do some research on my phone about how much this was in comparison to morphine, but couldn't find it anywhere.

So first of all, why do you think the EMT decided to use this drug instead of dilladud or morphine? 2nd of all, about how much is 100 mics in relation to morphine IV?

Thanks!

The EMT used fent because he was probably a kind soul, and felt your pain was severe enough to warrant its use. Which is exactly why your actions are deplorable, and the reason why people who really are in pain do not get believed on so many occasions.

I was in pain, just not the pain I said I was. I was going through pretty bad withdrawls, which are extremely painful.

^^ This.

POS OP

He is a citizen of planet Earth, fucked up like he is, he has the right to life like any other bird flying in the sky or vermin crawling in the earth below. Getting mad on him is getting mad on the reason why we're here. The reason why we're alive.

100µg of IV Fentanyl is equipotent to ~10mg of IV Morphine or 30mg of PO Morphine.

I also ended up in hospital with Fentanyl.

Though that was because I overdosed on it, by sticking on 200µg/hour worth of Fentanyl patches.

We've all done stupid shit... Just had different intentions.

Interesting..I got IV Morphine a few weeks ago at the hospital (8mg) and was pretty freaking high. However, ive been taking some 30mg morphine ER's i've bought off the street (been plugging them) and have to take 3 of them just to get a slight buzz. So, I would disagree about it being = to 30mg of oral morphine. Remember, the bioavailability of oral morphine is awful.

There's nothing to disagree about... It's a fact, give or take a few mg.

I think you're making the mistake of comparing an IV high to a PO high. It's incomparable, irrelevant of dosages. Especially when you're using ER morphine, not even IR.

That has to be really fucked up, that you fake E.R to just get Opiods, man that's awful.

Please just go seek support. And if no doctors will help you then do something , start a protest regarding the Government.

Also, I just read your post.

If I was you I would buy the best gift you could think of, then a card (or make one, and something funny even, doctors love funny things), and give them to him.
Something good. Because man, I think that, while maybe what you did was silly. At the same time we're all humans trying to get by, and from my understanding addiction to opiods are the worst thing ever (and I have not even tried them).

But anyway, stay good and please get some help.
But you should in my opinion, seriously give him and anyone else that was good to you, for you to go out and buy them a gift. please do, because it was also their actions that gave you something, something that had power in. And they did. that was very nice of them.

I consider myself non-judgmental but shit like this bothers me... You realize your little trip to the ER probably cost your insurance company several thousand dollars not to mention taking valuable resources away from people with real emergencies (being dopesick doesn't qualify as an emergency to anyone but you)? Thousands of dollars that your insurance company or government then passes on to the regular hard working people in the form of rising taxes or unaffordable healthcare costs. So when that hard working guys child develops a serious illness the family can't afford treatment. I realize this is macroeconomics but c'mon, try to think beyond your next fix.

Not everyone is a pay pig and masturbate to the pleasure of giving gifts and money like you do. Silly multi.

LOL...this has been going on for years where I live...in fact, now, when anyone goes to the ER, no matter in an ambulance or not, doctors are hesitant to even give vicoden anymore..a few ruined it for the rest of us over the past few years, and now, thanks to our state going after pain pill abuse very harshly, its hard to get any kind of pill anymore, most went to H when this happened, as that is plentiful.

I even heard on the news recently, this one guy actually tried painting a HUGE bruise on his leg, and went into the ER, complaining he had some kind of accident, the doctors could clearly see it was not real...but I found it funny he even tried this!

I find it more strange these people are attempting such things, when the most they are likely to get is oxycodone and even thats not guaranteed, they may only get tylenol 3s or something similar (useless to major addicts), I mean, if I had nothing and no way to get anything, sure I would take oxycodone, but I would know it would not do that much for me, and would still be craving the stronger opiates, but i guess thats what leads to alot of the pharmacy robberies and other thefts, in order to get money versus drugs, so they can buy what they want.

How come they don't go to one of these plants:

All they need is the maintenance schedule, they dress up as employees, and there's a waste room, right between the reactor room and the pill press, where, on a bad day, you will find kilograms of opioids that were discarded by quality control, on their way to disposal.

Then you do the waste collection procedure and take off, they'll be happy it's gone, nobody likes filled up waste rooms LOL

OMG, just thinking about that makes me drool!! LOL I couldnt imagine walking out with garbage bags full of opioid painkillers...yeah...Id be dead that night! LOL

In reality, its probably harder to get onto the property at a place like this versus the whitehouse! Im sure they know there is 100s of 1000s of addicts out there who desperately want what they have!

I have to set my meds out on my night stand and wake up 30 min early than normal and take them and lay there until it kicks in bc I can't get outa bed without them I'm in so much pain around the clock. I am 19 years old and I'm stuck with 5/325 Norcos bc of people like you dude I had to go through 6 weeks of physical therapy and 4 months worth of doctors appts to prove I'm in pain and not a drug seeker. When my new born daughter wakes up In the middle of the night crying I can't hardly get out of bed to hold her. When my son wakes up in the morning he has to wait to get up until I take my medicine and can get up with him. Think about that next time you're withdrawling

You know what, im just gonna go over to Opiophile. Didnt think i'd get constantly harassed here for sharing my stories about my opiate use. I don't see anyone getting harassed over there.
