What Are You Drinking? V. Pretty Gay, Turns Out.

How weak it is is a worry, weak ciders tend not to be great (looking at you, Strongbow). Plus, if I got it and it was horrible I'd regret not spending my £2 on a bottle of Henry Westons instead. I haven't been drinking cider much because it makes me feel bloated but I might give it a go. And let you know! (harhar I'm a poet).

Drinking water now because meph mouth. Which is considerably different to meth mouth :sus:

Toffee apple cider does sound like it should be a surefire winner. Not sure why I've never tried it really. Quite conceivably for Henry Weston's reasons as noted.

I now expect your report on it to come in the form of iambic pentameter too.

Not really - in the fullness of time they become identical. All stims have that effect. It's not cos they necessarily damage the teeth per se so much as folk tend to be up for days on end and are a bit distracted from their oral hygiene regime. That and by the time you get to that stage you're hopelessly addicted and don't give a shit nor have time to give a shit cos you're too busy hustling up money for the next score.

Surely meth mouth will always be worse though cos it's generally smoked? I don't neglect my oral hygeine either way so I should be alright. Unless I become hopelessly (instead of optimistically, like at the moment) addicted to coke or something else in which case, as you said, I'll have much more important worries.

I have a very sweet tooth so toffee apple cider should be up my street but it is a risk. I don't tend to like flavoured ciders as much as apple so I kind of gave up trying them. I'm a red wine girl and have been spending all my money on bottles of chateauneuf du pape recently (there's one on offer in ASDA [DISCLAIMER: I don't really shop in ASDA]) but it's a bit hot for red atm which is annoying so I might have a crack at the toffee apple. And of course my report will be in iambic pentameter, is there any other way to report on cider?!

The smoking thing probably does make it much worse actually yes. I suspect most who end up on posters have probably graduated to IV long ago though - bang fer yer buck is important in addictworld :\

I don't have an especially sweet tooth so have now watered down (yes watered down with actual water) that sicky green stuff. It could still strip walls at ten paces but is a slight improvement. Note to self: just cos booze I wouldn't normally look twice at is on offer doesn't mean I should buy it :!

Got suckered into buying 'Taffy Apple' cider thinking it was toffee apple cider recently. Was okay as cider goes but toffee it wasn't. Trading Standards oughta be ashamed of themselves :!

Drank a nice (actually quite properly nice) bottle of rioja earlier. 2010 apparently. Seems an awfully long time ago but tasted all nice and mellow and that - is wine like memories? All soft-focus and rosy-tinted and that?

Then moved on to drinking cheap voddy and fruit juice. Orange and lime with much smaller shots of voddy than my usual. Tasted nice Still does. If only it was easier to maintain such balance :!

Still boozeless here but having to resort to energy drinks. How do they get away with charging almost the same for energy drinks as for alcoholic drinks? They pay no excess tax like they do with booze so really can't see any justification for it at all. Complete scam... but there's only so much coffee you can drink and summat cold is nice on a warm day so... 8)

Still taking the piss on the pricing front though :!

^ Monster energy is the way forward... try that if you want a good energy drink, yellow or green are the best ones

Stockholm - the beer was actually cheaper than the water :D - they have some random alcohol rule, you can't buy a bottle of wine or spirit in the supermarket! You have to goto a liquor store ? I think they only allow upto 3.5% to be sold in a supermarket, anything after that you need a liquor store.

I think I've heard that somewhere before actually, Bear. For hard-drinking viking stock those Scandanavian countries don't half seem to have some weird alcohol laws. Think they're allowed to distill their own moonshine legally which would make up for the piss-weak booze in supermarkets I suppose.

Hangover: Meh. They mostly all taste the same (energy drinks in general that is) aside from the fruity ones. Quite like that guava flavour one but can't recall which brand it is. Just bought a four pack of the small Relentless ones cos they were half price. Still £2 for for 250ml cans even then 8(

Got a bottle of Russian Standard Platinum earlier, only cracked into it an hour ago, with great difficulty. Thing has a sort of screwtop connected to a rubber cork (i said cork, you filthy bastards) and I'd had it in the freezer all day so have to open it with my teeth or it won't budge.

Nice stuff though, for the price (£16ish).

It's some random law about reducing the troubles due to drinking - the thing is, the alcoholics just drink more of the piss weak beers. Stockholm and Helsinki are so expensive though - for a bog standard pub meal your looking at 50€ (ish) Pizza and chips etc. Even buying a few sandwiches and a bottle of wine would cost you 30€ - Amsterdam the food in the supermarkets were a bit cheaper.

The mrs got some honey JD in at Christmas , far to sweet and sickly for me.
Tonight were getting stuck Into a bottle of Morgans spiced rum, in preperation of lil legs 9th birthday tommorow. Bless her.

Just had a coffee. It's nice working in a place that has real coffee again, last place only had really bad instant.
