Yes Football, thanks for pointing that out, he's only trained a few times and is very tall for his age and not really got the hang of those limbs as yet but he really enjoyed himself and got amongst it :D

Ah that must be nice to see! I am also a gangly motherfucker that took a while to get used to my body. We had an unusually strong year at the boys club I played for and we ended up winning the West Surrey boys league a few times and some of the bigger tournments like the Epsom Eagles tournament where loads of the south London clubs with players that trained in proper academies played in.

Bizarrely enough no one from our team ever amounted to much other than a few of us playing at county level and our year dominating the local area leagues. The year above was crap but Matt Jarvis played for them and then ended up moving to Meadow Sports and then Gillingham, then Wolves and then became West Ham's record signing! Weird the way things work out sometimes, he got where he is not just by being talented but by being driven and fucking going for it. I used to get bumped up to the age group above sometimes at school and was in the same athletics team as him, not because I was particularly good (although I was strong at a couple of events) but because I would just get stuck in and pick up points for them in the events where they had no one.

Must have been brilliant to see your son get stuck in! Encourage that attitude and you never know where it might lead. Must be a pretty special feeling.:)

My brother is seven and a half years younger than me and watching him play rugby was amazing. Not particularly talented but fuck me that boy is fearless, he would do anything to stop the other team scoring. Seen him ko himself to make a tackle on a couple of occasions, he was concussed as fuck and talking absolute gibberish for hours.=D

Anyway I'm ranting, must be cool to see your son developing.

pain. To all my friends and acquaintances that have been suffering with chronic pain for years, I'm sorry for not getting it. This sucks.
