What kind of shape is your body in?

I used to be skinny and lanky but have bulked up over the years, was going to the gym 3 or 4 times a week and built up quite a bit of muscle especially arms and shoulders but have not been trained in over 6 months now and have lost a bit of muscle tone.

caning drugs every other weekend and binging on fast food in between hasn't helped but I'm determined once I get a car I'll be going back gym again and put loads of effort into as I don't see the point in doing it half arsed, its either full dedication or not at all for me.

Will I regain the size I lost very quick tho? I heard your body has what's called muscle memory where you can regain the size you had before faster than if you was to start from scratch. Anybody else ever had a long break from weight training then gone back and found it easy to gain back strength and size again?

Body shave at the weekend, gone from bushy to trimmed. (Chest/back hair was showing over tshirts etc :D)

realized I need to get a bit stronger, I have to do heavy lifting at work now sometimes and I really really struggle cause I'm such a skinny bastard.

Apparently it's pretty easy to get back to whatever size you previously were and from there on it's back to being the same difficulty as it normally would be to add mass. I have no idea of the truth of this but I have heard the same which would suggest there may be some in it.

Is that like the Ectoclaw photo that was posted ?

I have no idea, but it's exactly what it sounds like: ghoulish and lanky. Not for junkie standards, though; I don't look like I've been tweaking for days or otherwise fasting, I've just always been tall and slim.

This is a phenomenon which I discovered way before I realised that it seems to be an accepted fact. I used to work on farms in school/college holidays, then spent 5 years doing it full-time when I left college, so as a result my upper body and arms beefed up quite considerably. When I left the farm and got back into doing speed I lost it all, but have noticed on several occasions since that it's no where near as much effort to tone up again as it was initially.

Two days convalescing period out of every seven unless your nutrition is absolutely nailed and you're loading on supplements in which case one. Much better to be fucking smashing out of the park 5 days and having the two days recovery period. Definitely if you're doing strength training but even with cardio exercise it's better because being able to break through to anaerbobic or vo2max level exercise for any sustained period 7 days a week is a rare beast and that's where you really make the gains.

I'm in fucking appalling shape at the moment anyway, detox has taken a stone off my body and I didn't have a stone to lose. Back to exercise as soon as my bike is fixed though now I've done it. Just going to work cardio and leg strength on the bike (it's a single speed) and crack on with some core exercises until hopefully getting my shoulder fixed at the end of august then start rehabbing that and I'll be able to get back to upper body.

Itching to be able to get back to fighting.

Whatever suits you!

There's no way I could have done my training regime 7 days a week when I was training hard. My kickboxing/BJJ club would leave us on the floor in a puddle of sweat before letting us finish training and I couldn't do strength training at the rate I was doing it 7 days either.

Worked though, I was double fit and strong in no time.

You've got brilliant determination owen, hats off to that

Mate I've been through so many detoxes and relapses and I've just got too much to lose this time. Luckily I've got the money to get my shoulder fixed private so I can get it done immediately and I can choose who I want to do it and how. In the mean time it will have to be bike and core.

Fighting was such a positive influence in my life and I enjoyed it so much. Even when you get brutalised in training you are a) not fucking thinking about all your other worries when some beast is trying to kick your head off and b) get such an intense endorphine dump afterwards it makes up for the lack of drugs.

I have pipe dreams of going to train at a certain gym in Hawaii next summer but I'm not sure if the US will let me in tbh.

Skinny im almost bang on 10 stone, lost half a stone in the last 6 months. could do with putting a bit of weight on because my jeans are starting to fall down. i think its due to drugs really daily pain killer usuage, i do walk alot though i get pretty decent exercise. Yeah walking to and from pharmacies 8)
