The chances of becoming a habitual diacetylmorphine user is around 1 in 4 (or 25% ).

I've seen several people try smack over the past couple of decades, not enjoying it, and refusing repeatedly afterwards. Sure, it doesn't necessarily mean that they won't end up turning to it later on, but I'm confident they'd rather stick with their drug of choice.

Yes, the repeated use of any opioid will eventually result in tolerance and dependence, but there's a fundamental difference between addiction (drug seeking behavior and cravings) and dependency (going into withdrawal if stopping).

The biggest problem with addiction and/or dependence is that many "experts" continue to misunderstand the difference.

Example 1: I tell my doctor that I go into withdrawal whenever I try to stop using Zoloft, and he confusingly asks me, "Are you sure - because it's not addictive!"

Example 2: I tell the same doctor that I can't suddenly stop taking Xanax because I go into withdrawal and he tells me that I must be addicted, even though I've been on it for years, and, I have not refilled it early, nor had my dose increased. Where the hell did he get his license to practice, I wonder.

SSRIs - which are not known to be fun and therefore habit forming - can cause a serious dependence to form in long term users, and cold turkey can be a very nasty experience.

Purity has always been a concern for me with all clandestinely synthesized/manufactured mind-altering substances. And it's why I'm extremely picky and test everything best I can. Doesn't guarantee that there isn't something inherently deadly in there, but I'll take my chances.

Doesn't help that the United Police States of America, "the Land of Opportunity the Ruling Elite," has taken to assuming control of the lives and personal choices of the less fortunate.

In my opinion sizzurp it's kind of a joke as it is. Real lean SHOULD BE (but isnt) hydrocodone. Hydro is much more euphoric and intense for me as it is for most people who I've discussed this with. Ive always just passed out from the promethazine long before the codeine effects hit me.. then again, maybe I'm one of those who just doesn't metabolize codeine and it must just go right thru me. Hydro on the other hand, very sensitive to it. Much better than oxy I think.. but not to mention : everyone's body chemistry and metabolism is different. I've found my situation is somewhat rare

I imagine this happens a lot. Given the ratio, I think they're getting the effects of promethazine, not codeine. Such a stupid drug to even try get high off, let alone glamorize.
 
So Activis is going to stop making it... It's not like the government is banning it's production.

Unless the consumers will buy Activis or nothing.. who cares? Buy a different fucking brand or better yet.. an opiate that's not made "for treatment of the common cold".

Agreed. I'll stick to hydrocodone and if I'm feeling frisky smoke some BTH. Anything with codeine would just be a waste of my time/money
 
Purple drank or lean is still popular for some reason? I have never used it and don't want to but if other people want to use it I hope they do it safely if that is possible. Or just take either of the drugs on their own, and not in massive amounts. Or take other drugs that are safe to combine in moderate amounts like alcohol and herb, or codeine and herb.
