2014 Brazil World Cup- Join the BL World Cup Pickems!

I picked but have little knowledge of who is really good. Love tournaments though.

Us Aussies have it real tough. The two teams that played off in 2010 are in our group (Spain, Holland). As well as one of the best South American teams, that being Chile.

But who am I kidding, Australia most likely won't make a final in my life time.

My money's on Brazil, second is Spain.

i dont think it would have really made a difference

I feel like the US will go 0-2-1 in group play.

maybe a tie with Ghana if they get the right bounce and Howard has a good game

im not watching the World Cup for US soccer lol
 
tough groups, probably spain though, germany is going to hit US so hard it'll be comedy. France is my team so....!!

its so hard to call picks on these games, I called 2-1 as well but Brazil is generally a high scoring team, and probably should have pegged them higher.


the upsets will be great, but I think overall my scoring is probably a bit high, you might get matches that are only 1-0, etc. Correct me if I'm wrong but there are no draws? Or is that only for semis? I guess for group matches they only play to time and thats its...its pretty hard to call a tie game.
 
I thought you could draw in group play but not once the single elimination part started

If teams pick Hollands strategy from last World Cup, it will be a low scoring contest.

Alls you need is one goal, then defend like buggery till the game ends. It's a defensive way to play, can be boring to watch too.

It was a joy to watch the Dutch dismantle Spain! Once RVP scored that brilliant equalizer, the wheels fell off for the Spaniards. The second half was pure Dutch domination. Robben scored with a couple of beauties, too! They made Spain look absolutely silly.
