A lot of Vans love in this thread. Predictably my newest sneaker purchase was (wait for it) a new pair of Converse. Exciting, huh?

Spent the weekend making my first short journeys in these:

... after spending a few days prepping the leather inside and out.

I've only undertaken short trips to and from the supermarket thus far, but they've given me those same blisters at the base of the Achilles tendon as the old pre-Asian-outsourcing DMs did.

I used to wear the 1914s, which had fourteen holes, but I'm getting a bit old for that. Besides, it used to take me an hour or so just to lace the things!

Nice, i got given similar dr martins to that years ago, or infact they might have been the same, and they gave me some badass blisters as well if i recall. and were a bit of a bastard to drive in. Liked em though. Quite like these blue and white lonsdale slip ons ive got at the mo, had them for ages, probably considered abit chavvy or whatever... comfy as fuck tho and perfect for driving
