Single again after basically a lifetime.

Six years is a long time, even more so at your age, but from what you say it has been a clean break, which should make things so much easier. Guilt and regrets are soul-destroying :(
Yep seven years gone! But I don't want to think like that.

Still feel very pleased with my decision, especially after Thursday night :)

^ You haven't been together for so long for no reason. It'll probably feel like you 'wasted' time sometimes but really you haven't. Don't want to sound all hippy-like but try not to overlook the experiences/ good memories/ lessons you take away from your time together.

Aye this. Wasn't time wasted, nothing is ever black and white especially in relationships. We change and develop as people and the circumstances we find ourselves in might no longer be what we want, but that doesn't mean you wasted your time. When you were together (for the most part at least) you wanted to be in that relationship. Look back with no regrets because you made the decisions you wanted to, both to exit the relationship but also to begin in in the first part. You made those decisions because they were right for you at the time.

Blimey, that was quick! Just remember that you were planning on being single for a bit, eh? That monogamy thing is a pesky trap. ;)

Don't worry I'm not getting married this evening.
Just going out for a drink around brick lane
