Okay. Know the tune now. Never made the connection cos never did get the soundtrack album. Saw that fillum at the cinema. Was okay. Was reading the books at the time and had seen (the original version of) Manhunter previously so felt it a tad cheesy. I was still (more or less) in my teens and doing media courses at the time though so it's easy to be wanky in hindsight.

The Velvet Underground - "Live at The Boston Tea Party" (Jan. 10, 1969) - for one reason.

Lou Reed - Berlin - for another (but related... tangentially) other.

Transit Kings - Butterflies - for quite another entirely.

Transit Kings - West End of a Duck Going East - yet another, yet related.

Transit Kings - The Last Lighthouse Keeper - utterly transcendent of any reasonable requirement.

Lawdy. You just took a good decade or so off of me. Not sure if that'd be in a good way... I liked 'em a lot when I was a very stroppy yoof who had a penchant for cutting himself. Some of their tracks bear a second listening... most don't ;)

Would've felt so much better if only I hadn't messed up the chance to be underwhelmed by...

Dan: Have the confidence to post tunes in the Tunes Thread. If it only gets posted in Gibberings it's gibbering. If it is actually a tune it will stand up in Tunes. Too many of yours get lost in gibber. Have courage of convictions. Harshness of criticism >>> obscurity nobody bothers clicking on <3

Somebody of late accused me of mindless U2 hate. I partially admit to it. I still don't quite like it but it can be done better. If even Damien Rice can't quite make it work it truly is bad but at least he makes it listenable ;)

Currently undecided. No firm plans. Drugs will be involved. Heavily. I kinda suspect whatever is present will be correct. It usually is. Was gonna order some 6, too soon. Is my standby if others fail. Aiming for emdee. Will see whappen in the meantime.
