Can only wait so long before bumping. Listen to more music, folks. And post links to the good stuff.

Daedelus - Dumbfound (eDIT Mix) - complete with all those noice breakcore drums only slowed and separated so sounds like another thing entirely. Not good on genres but that's a fine mix. Fella's album is called "Of Snowdonia" so now wondering if it be a local boy.

µ-ziq - Wergle the Proud - cos I don't post enough µ-ziq and that's one of his better ones.

Soundmurderer and SK-1 - Call Da Police - bit of an offshoot of what I was actually listening to but will do fine. "Intelligent Jungle" apparently. Sounds much like unintelligent Jungle to me. This is not a Bad Thing. Since when was Jungle meant to be "intelligent"? Such an annoying genre distinction. Useful but horribly annoying.

Hehe. No coffee for me. Some booze though. Can get meself quite perky on booze alone if done right. Liver may not approve but needs must... :|

Venetian Snares - Husikam Rave Dojo - he really is good at combining parody with tribute to pure perfection <3

Last Step - Avocado - can also muster a fine acid tune under assorted pseudonyms mind.

Pee Ess: Will admit to being rather partial to a bit o' Raja. Need to be in the mood though. Psytrance only really works whilst psy'd and emdee'd. Or massively pissed but that's kinda messy.

I think some of the female raga singing/rapping is quite sexy at times. My use of raga may be incorrect I'm terrible for genres that part of my brain switched off a few years ago around 35. They do say in marketing the 18-35 demographic. Since I was 35 the fast heartbeat music makes me feel like having a cup of tea and going to bed ! Being a parent does that too a bit.
Shambles you have a good varied taste in music as do I. Always good to be open to lots of avenues more to taste and enjoy. I must be hungry talking about tasting music.

When you say "raga" are you meaning ragga? I'm not good with genres either but if you're meaning those Snares tunes they're broadly classed as breakcore - much crossover with ragga and jungle amongst the breakbeats though. Breakcore tends to be a bit more harshly technical. Same kinda tempo only more choppy and with a somewhat "colder" sound. Wanky folk may describe it as "intelligent" but that sounds like an excuse to me. It's not dance music as such whereas ragga and jungle are is about as close as I could get it. More mind candy than foot stompy.

Speaking of new(ish) tunes. Just to point out that newskool acid is at least as good as oldskool acid...

Monolith - 22 Livingstones

EOD - Retcho

Dave Monolith - Farewell Frenchman

Automatic Tasty - Passenger Funk

The Tuss - Rushup Edge - I rarely post full albums but is barely more than EP length and is the very definition of newskool acid funk <3

We're of similar vintage, have not dissimilar tastes, I defy anybody of similar ilk not to agree that's examples of as good as it ever was and then some. Acid was always funky, also always kinda niche. It broadened out a bit and now there are loads of folk who produce blinding acid tunes compared to one or two standbys and a few flash in the pans.

I wish I could find the studio version of this song on YouTube... here is a Spotify link... The Skints - Bright Girl

Still, this is an interesting acoustic version.

I've got a signed poster from them somewhere I think... from before they started to make a name for themselves. My friend gave it to me... he saw them at a local bar & he went to someone's flat with them. Apparently the girl asked him to sleep with her & he said no. :D

That would be old-oldskool acid. Also great. But old. Doesn't mean it's not good, just that things do move on. As with any music worth a wank young folk build on the work of their elders. Acid is one of relatively few electronic musical genres that has developed over decades. Much mushes out into derivative shite and never finds its way back. Much simply disperses so much it becomes part of the mainstream and never finds its way back from there to the core sound for a fresh injection. Acid is the one electronic genre aside from "ambient" in its most generic form that has stayed true to its roots whilst evolving constantly. Other elcectronica has its time in the sun and can shine as intensely as anything... but fades to shadow soon enough.

That's a belter incidentally. Not familiar with it but is the pure definition of acid. It could've been made yesterday rather than 30-odd years back. That's why acid remains class - started class, stayed class at every step of the way, the same but always different. I do <3's me acid squelchings <3

Automatic Tasty - Free All Parties Now

Tom Jenkinson/Squarepusher - Whooshki

Phuture - Acid Tracks

30-odd years of acid - killer:filler ratio satisfied at all times <3

The one above the last reminded me of one of my other fave current acid acts...

Keen K - Love Robot

That heavily 80's influenced electro-acid stuff is rife recently. Mixed bag I'd say. Often more promise than delivery. Keen K are Klass though. Few other similar acts nearly there but just not quite got "it" whatever "it" is. I do believe it is a trend of late though that kinda sound.

Keen K & Dorian E - Seaquake

Worth it for the artwork alone <3

Keen K love robot sounds very 80's and French to me I like it. I was first exposed to electronic music by my brother who was into break dance tunes and also Jean michel Jarre it was a good exposure

Goodbye Horses - Q Lazzarus

I normally get a dark feeling with this track maybe it's the whole Buffallo Bill thing.
