Housemate is still going and says that quality in and around Sydney decreased a lot and he was having to head to the central coast which wasn't that great. Definitely nothing compared to the stuff that was recently in Sydney

Sydney in the last mth or two went downhill fast in quality. Its a good thing as i possibly could have died before i got away i think. Im getting clean off it and am doing a geographical. 9 days clean. Ive been longer but my habit was only 6mths or so but of course its got progressively worse in many ways. Its on my mind in some way all the time. Its a bullshit head fuck struggle. Hope the thoughts eventually go away. Just want that one last "proper" shot but it will always be that way im fearing.

I think motiv is right on the money.. imagine every all our dealers over here were literally sitting on lb's n lb's of near pure gear and were selling it for a 1/10 of what we pay...

if that wouldnt kill us, I really dont know what would....

anyway, its funny everyone mentioning the qualities dropping.. where I am, the quality is, some might say, better than every and at a reasonable (if you can even call what we pay that) price.. brought my first half weight for the year last week and it was one big, crystal clear rock.. 50mg IVed gave me the taste and kept me goin for 12+ hours
 
Me too, exactly. If I have a pipe and stuff on hand, I'll spark up as soon as the wife goes to work in the morning... I probably won't have more than a bowl, but that whole day and night is then a jack off day... If I get into day 3 or 4 and still have stuff, by this stage I am just angry with myself and throw everything in the bins outside. I remember once chucking a quarter in the bin. I love the stuff and enjoy my time on it... But I make sure I never get myself into 3 or 4 days straight on it...

Mate comparing prices for meth in Australia to USA is impossible. Both countries use the $ but that's about as similar as they get. If an australian went to America there is no garentees that he/she will suddenly consume more meth because it's cheaper in the USA, if that person goes to America as a tourist with hey tourist money they have saved up in Australia then yes they may because from that perspective buying meth in America appears ALOT cheaper, but if that australian goes over to America and lives there and works over there, the lower wages they would be on in USA would not make the meth seem as cheap as the tourist. Vise versa an American on holidays here in Australia would not purchase meth in Australia becAuse from the holiday money they have saved in USA makes the price for meth here too costly. But an America moving here and working here would not see the price of meth as expensive as the tourist and would be willing to buy.

Now I believe that drugs in Australia are over priced (ie I think both meth and cocaine here should be about 50% cheaper) but when you look at how high the wages are for 'average' person in Australia and then compare the average persons wages in America, the ACTUAL price for methamp per gram is not as crazy as it seems when just comparing the price for a gram in aust and America.

For example I earn $80 an hour as a trades person (normal weekday rate) that price doesn't include any shift or penalty rates and is salary. now there is no way an American with similar trade would get that, those working in the oil rigs etc could be on that money but if I went and worked in the mines I could earn upto 150 an hour. Afew years ago I was In America And I was shocked when I came across bar staff that were on 6/7 dollars an hour and thought it was good pay for bartending, then my mate told them how his wage for bartending in Sydney was 22 an hour minimum, and depending the day, time of day it could increase upto 2.5 times.

I think it is seriously time I did same to my pipe. Things are getting way out of control for me again. Paid today, and broke already. Rediculous.

Managed to go 14 weeks without, but still held on to my pipe 'just in case'. This dumb bit of glass is so hard to get rid of!
 
As long as it isn't in my house, I'm not using.. If its here, I'll always be in the prowl to score.. I recommend a quick trip to the outside bins..
 
Yeah America land of the free and shit wages I'm surprised you were surprised OND43X. I guess we take reasonable wages for granted here in OZ but that's changing with Tony Turd n co. That is why they (US hospitality workers) get so pissed when us ozzies tip them $1 or fail to tip (in my case 80% of the time unless the service was good and sometimes it's a little "to good" in which case I get pissed off, slam down a $1 note US and storm off after fixing the bill). Australia don't become America... bit fucking late we are well on the way. :(
 
What trade do you to make $80 an hour?
I can't believe a trade would get you $150 an hour at the mines.
 
Yeah 80 an hour is far from normal in Australia. I'm on 18 an hour atm in hospo. I don't mind though I get weekends off :p
 
Yup Hospo and retail are around 17-22 per hour average , I can say from experience having lived in both countries that on my aussie wage I could probably buy a couple points on my daily wage but even earning $8 an hour in the states I could earn enough in a day to buy a gram of crystal.
The level of tweaker in US makes the ice heads over here look tame in comparison.
in regards to usage though the price over here means that it is seen as more desirable and accepted, I would say usage goes throughout the whole socio economic strata whereas in the states it's seen as a white trash drug and carries a lot of stigma.

another reason why prohibition is a failure since scarcity in this case drives demand rather than decreases it. The Netherlands is a good example of where ubiquity of a drug (weed) actually decreases usage.
 
$80 an hour... guess I missed that bit... 40 hour week $3200... 52 weeks in a year = $ 166,400. I know lawyers who don't make that much scratch. You could buy a fair bit of meth with that kind of income. Could be the undoing of some I guess. To true oldirtybizza, in the US meth is seen as a white trash drug, the "poor white mans" version of crack. It's the trailer park vs the ghetto. As low as you can go. Funny how cocaine is viewed as a high class drug and loon's like Charlie Sheen are just accepted as eccentric but lovable nut-bags. Yet if one is to base it out with bicarb it's viewed as crack whore sally and the ghetto hustlers. Medical cannabis? Not that medicinal if you smoke it IMO, eating it or a tincture it's 100% medicinal but smoking shit always causes health problems. America WTF?

Majority of Aussie meth = sound of stomping feet at each level of distribution. Nothing like 20% methamphetamine and 80% MSM. Still there is insanely pure gear out and about if you know where to look. I avoid meth these days but I know there is really pure shit around and I know there is utter shit around.
 
Meth is sort of unpopular in america i would say. At any party you could bust out pretty much any drug except meth, (or possibly anything with needles) Pretty much we've all been affected by it, or seen what it can do to people.


but its super cheap at about 90bucks per 8th, always pure, and from what i've read its absoluetly exploding in Australia, you dudes just can't hang with us crazy yankies : 0
 
Yeah I think that will probably happen here too eventually. Alot of people here cant afford to keep up with using it, and families and friends have seen how destructive it is.
 
It's interesting that reports of meth's popularity keep coming from the Australian press.
Maybe it's just my extended social group, but I don't know more than a handful of people that still take it.
10 years ago....completely different story.

I'm wondering if the current meth using community is in different geographic/socioeconomic/cultural groups to the ones I come into regular contact with....or if I'm just really out of the loop. Or really looped out.
