FHM 100 Sexiest Women 2014

Well, yeah. Calling someone "normal" implies that somebody else must be "abnormal".I really think they should start teaching Latin in schools again ..... (and no, I'm not that old.)

Eheu! It is a travesty indeed. I went to posh School so it was compulsory for the first 2 years. I did it up until standard grade (gcse) but it wasn't until you did higher that you got into the meaty stuff.

I don't remember much other than there was a lot about someone called Quintus & dogs. Cave canem & all that...

Shambles look at the last line of your post Raas quoted. I think you meant to say "shouldn't" not "should".

And I just said the same thing here only worded differently. Think my views are fairly balanced and reasonable on this myself. Who are you to tell people they can't choose certain career paths? That's no better than expectations the other way in my mind. You're inflicting your own issues and expectations on others. There's nothing wrong with people who genuinely do want to earn a living by getting their bits out - or do it for fun and free if they so wish. The problem is when it is expected. Or when it is objected to on purely personal taste grounds. I deeply dislike the culture of semi-nekkid people being used to advertise absolutely everything. Also deeply dislike celebrity culture that is completely obsessed with soft porn shoots. That is not the same thing as blanket condemnation cos I don't condemn the nekkidness I condemn the expectation of nekkidness. This has always been my position - sorry to disappoint you but I'm not here to please you either. I suspect we are more in agreement than not - no need to go to extremes and I happen to have more shades of grey in my outlook. Perhaps 50 or so but wouldn't know cos heard it was terrible. Shades of grey all the same as in all things.

No, I was not disappointed in your opinion. We're all entitled to opinions. Was disappointed in lack of elaboration, insight etc.. but you've made up for it here now. Good post.

Which is precisely why I dislike the term. I don't think I'd refer to myself as a 'cis woman' purely due to how it's not exactly a common term outside of LGBTQ circles, but then I guess that is what I am. Just don't like the term 'normal' nor 'disabled' just to open another can of worms ;)

Nah haha, I am technically disabled in that I have a developmental learning disorder, and I spent a good amount of time discussing with my tutor why 'disabled' is a shit word. I'm fairly sure I'm not disabled, I just do stuff differently to other people and I have to really practice at stuff that requires manual coordination or memory. I can get really good if I practice though. I dunno how I'd describe myself though, cos disabled I am not, not in my definition. My brain just works differently I suppose.

Hehe. You would be correct in that. Hopefully as obvious to all given context - especially now expanded on a bit. Seems even Raas approves now - I was clearly just slacking. Would've thought people might be pleased to not be faced with several paragraphs per post from me. Perhaps there is middle ground in there somewhere...

As above. I am prone to lengthy rambling at the best of times so try to keep it simple at others. As you pointed out yourself, it's something I've said before anyway so no great revelations there so went with a brief summing up. I've not actually said anything different in the longer version and thought all that was clear from the précis but again perhaps there is a middle ground I'm not so good at finding.

Not that surprising considering the subject matter of the thread? Not like it's called "The EADD Philosophical Discussion Thread"...
