No need to get all prolix=D

It's a marginal improvement over lack of Viagra leaving you impotent. Actually quite a major improvement.

It's a minor version of a debate that often bubbles up on BL - who owns a thread? Does the OP cos they started it? Is each post owned by whoever wrote it? Is it all now property of BL? It's not the latter cos it's either in the rules or enshrouded in BL tradition that the individual member retains copywrite over their posts. But I - and any other stuff - can also choose to edit them depending on our own interpretation of rules. If I edit your post to I now own it? Or a bit of it? There have been instances of OPs deleting a thread and a mod stepping in and simply undeleting it and taking over ownership where the thread was seen as having enough value to merit such action. There is precedent - any more bitching about more than one post a day and it becomes the Words of the Day Thread :p

(i may have gotten a bit carried away with myself towards the end there but was quite interested in the first bit)

Sadly, your lack of modstick leaves you impotent..

Not so much, I could ruin my own thread by making post after post of garbage. A digital dirty protest if you will.

edit: No one owns the thread imo, everything should be fair game. I was only registering my displeasure, it will burn out too soon if everyone uses up all the good words.=D

Not possible to run out of good words I would presume. There's a lot of words out there and many of them mighty fine words. I suspect standard not being arsed to keep posting will intervene before we are nearing running out of interesting and pleasing words territory.

I tend to agree on the lack of thread ownership too. They are communal creations. Posts are a person's own but when posted on somebody else's site some control is ceded cos we all agreed to it when becoming members.

Well yeah, it has to exist within the site rules, but the OP can't add extra to their thread. That would just be microcosms of facism within a larger overarching facist regime.

^ Mine would be knackered. No particular reason for being knackered but am. As such, can't think of a better word due to knackeredness. Also, knackered is a fine word <3

My w.o.t.d: Quisling

Another goodie - had to look that up and was quite amused to find a Norwegian politician has it for a surname. Given its meaning, the fact he didn't change it is either incredibly honest or incredibly stupid :D

I haven't had time to read all the words/posts so serendipity if its not been taken, an unhappy coincidence if it is.

Feeling pretty egregious today after being out in the sun all day yesterday drinking
