Just bought my Boomtown ticket. Had an end of uni/deadlines party last night and I feel pretty rough today. Gonna have an epic music jam tomorrow though with a few friends which I'm looking forwards to![]()
Got my drink driving course tomorrow...

1930 Road Traffic Act

1960 Road Traffic Act
In 1960 it became an offence to drive, attempt to drive or be in charge of a motor vehicle on a road or other public place while "unfit to drive through drink or drugs".
Introduction of the Legal Drink Drive Limit
The Road Safety Act of 1967 introduced the first legal maximum blood alcohol (drink driving) limit in the UK. The limit was set at a maximum BAC (blood alcohol concentration) of 80mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood or the equivalent 107 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of urine. It became an offence to drive, attempt to drive or be in charge of a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration that exceeded the maximum prescribed legal limit.
Times have changed so much, he'd be headlines on The Daily Mail for doing that these days.Drink Aware said:How much can I drink and stay under the limit?
There is no fool-proof way of drinking and staying under the limit. The amount of alcohol you would need to drink to be considered over the driving limit varies from person to person. It depends on: (4)
•your weight
•your gender (men tend to process alcohol faster than women)
•your metabolism
•the type and amount you're drinking
•your current stress levels
•whether you've eaten recently
•age (younger people tend to process alcohol more slowly
Even small amounts of alcohol can affect your ability to drive so the only safe advice is to avoid any alcohol if you are driving.
