2013-2014 NBA Thread v. AI is officially retired

felt like the wizards were begging pacers to come back in the 4th. beal had that one stretch but also had a bunch of turnovers and an airball free throw. pacers just went 6 minutes without a single field goal at one point. the 1st quarter is what fucked things up

Trevor Ariza shoots over .400 from 3pt range iirc, 6/6 is certainly an outlier but its not that outrageous to think he cant give you at least 12-16 points a game not to mention he's a willing passer.

The entire Wizards team are willing passers. The most selfish player is actually John Wall but i think he is starting to learn how to get his teammates involved and the Wizards are playing with no expectations right now. Im probably a bigger Wizards fan than most of DC's population tbh.

Nene is David West but slightly quicker

Gortat is leading the league in offensive backtaps most likely

Andre Miller would start for the Pacers

Is Bynum even on the team anymore?

last time i saw a 6/6 was like Troy Murphy circa 2009.

and 62.5% 3pt as a team. a lot of contested ones too. dont see that happening again. felt like korver and scott all over again.

good I want as few people as possible on this bandwagon when the Thunder make it to the finals

Its a game of averages really.

Chris Paul is not going to score 32 points a game. Kevin Durant might

Caron Butler is not going to score 3 points next game. Gay J Reddick might

An alley-oop is worth the same amount of points as a mid range jump shot. If I were the Thunder coach id be like "slooooooowwsw doooooowwnnnn" and just pin a note to Westbrook's flannel that says "Im Not KD"

I know the shots werent exactly falling for OKC last night but 4 assists for Westbrook? This is usually where everyone ravels that him and KD will never work and sometimes it seems like that. But this has been happening since they started playing together and I think it can work.

Chris Paul just cant be Chris Paul and fellow Crawford at the same time, which I doubt will continue to that degree

youve seen it from Lebron, they play relatively average in the playoffs until its do or die time then you get a triple double. KD will get his

I dont see Brooklyn winning more than a game. Paul Pierce cant guard Lebron. Thats pretty much all I have to say to defend that

ok wtf I cant even type Crawford's first name anymore

I think Joe Johnson will be guarding Lebron.. At least that's what I'd do

This is why every team needs a Kawhi Leonard. Pretty sure he is the only player in the NBA that can slow Lebron down just a little bit.

That's another thing about Leonard. You don't really appreciate how good he is until you see him defending Lebron

so Paul Pierce on Dwade then? I guess thats geriatric enough to win them a game

Best people who defended Lebron imo

1. Andre Iguodala
2. Kawhi Leonard
3. toss up

of course that also means Lebron would be defending Joe Johnson most likely and Joe has been their most consistent player in the playoffs so that goes both ways you know

Nah you put Shaun Livingston on Wade. Livingston is actually a really good defender and most people forget that he is 6'7". You could even let Marcus Thornton try guarding him too

I just realized that MCW is a slightly better version of Shaun Livingston with point guard skills. Livingston is a horrible 3 pt shooter though

formula for playing the Miami Heat

who's guarding Lebron? = your best defender
who's guarding Dwade? = your second best defender
who's guarding Ray Allen, Chris Bosh, Shane Battier, Mario Chalmers, etc. etc.

eventually someone falls through the cracks, and Lebron still drops 25+ points

Yeah I agree with you but I don't know how else you could do it. Honestly I think Joe Johnson is the only one who can guard him on the nets. Idk who else would even have a chance?

Deron Williams has to put the pressure on Chalmers for the Nets to actually have some hope.

if I had to make a top 3 list at each position right now

C

1 - Dwight Howard
2 - DeAndre Jordan
3 - Joakim Noah

PF

1 - Kevin Love
2 - LaMarcus Aldridge
3 - Blake Griffin

SF

1 - LeBron James
2 - Kevin Durant
3 - Paul George

SG

1 - James Harden
2 - DeMar DeRozan
3 - Bradley Beal

PG

1 - Rajon Rondo
2 - Chris Paul
3 - Steph Curry

People who got left out but deserve a mention

- Anthony Davis
- Damian Lillard
- John Wall
- Kyrie Irving

excuse my Rondo fandom, but he'll be back at some point. on a real team.

damn remember when john wall was a 3 point shooter?

yeah me neither, god he's selfish as shit sometimes. Guess what, thats putting him on his way out of the top 3 PGs still playing in place of Lillard and Tony Parker, and on the fast pass to my axis of evil

lance stephenson, I seriously hate everythig about that dude. He's been in my axis of evil

the NBA as an entity, somethin fishy always goin on, too many coincidences. The kind of vibe thats gets you in my axis of evil

Roy Hibbert, everyone's gonna be on his dick now, that kind of inconsistency is crucial to being a member of my axis of evil. he has to bend down just to get the reporter in the frame, with advancements in modern technology thats downright outrageous to believe, and downright typcial of someone in my axis of evil

lol

defining play of the game imo: a little over 2 mins left and Bradley Beal gets the ball with like 2 seconds left on the shot clock (thanks bro) with the Wizards down by 3 (iirc), takes an off balance shot that nearly goes in (dat release tho), Gortat backtaps it out to John Wall for a fresh shot clock, and he immidiately jacks up a 3 point shot and bricks it.

Pacers never trailed after that

seriously though Gortat gets backtaps on backtaps. I thought Steve Nash kind of made that dudes career in Phoenix but he's a solid player

10. John Wall

Idk how to feel about Lowry, he never really seems to know where exactly he's going with the basketball so idk how his teammates are supposed to know either. dribbles weird as fuck too, not that that matters it just bothers me personally.

Top 5 Players who need to be traded IMO

1 - Rajon Rondo
2 - Eric Gordon / Jrue Holliday / Tyreke Evans (pick one, and fire whoever ok'd all 3 of them on the same team)
3 - Thaddeus Young
4 - Kevin Love (you know he's gonna walk anyway)
5 - Eric Bledsoe

possibly Russell Westbrook, havent quite made up my mind on that yet

damn Id stab a senior citizen to see Tyreke on the Thunder in place of Westbrook.

you know what fuck Russell Westbrook

for all his explosiveness and defensive ability, he's never going to learn how to become an actual point guard. I dont understand why they cant go with Reggie Jackson at pg and Westbrook at SG and keep Sefolosha for defensive reasons mostly.

the Thunder are seriously the most confusing team in the NBA imo.l, and its all because of russel westbrook

but I already made my bed, (as westbrook drills a 3 btw lol) Thunder to the finaaaalllsss

caron butler has a pretty sick shoulder tat

Kendrick Perkins wants no part of DeAndre Jordan

KD is going to have to win this series at some point

Chris Paul ate Steph Curry on some Shang Tsung shit

your soul....IS MINE!!!!
