2013-2014 NBA Thread v. AI is officially retired

^ Dubs playing too careless and loose. All of those turnovers killed them, not the ref missing a call or 2 in the final minutes.

Deandra Jordan is playing in MVP mode IMO

Por 2-0

lol I told you guys Evan Turner is a team ruiner

Bradley Beal might not have won MIP but he's just saving it all for the playoffs imo

like a boss

I dont think anyone had Dragic winning that right? he definitely is worthy, I think Stephenson's rebounds number isnt really a good indicator of his rebounding prowess, I just think teams take a lot of contested shots against the Pacers and that leads to rebound chances

and the Pelicans were definitely a top-5 highlight reel team this year imo, Tyreke and AD were basically playing in the And 1 League this year it seemed

I think the Pelicans need to get rid of Jrue or Evans, and they both need to play PG to reach their full potential in the NBA

say, Tyreke would look pretty damn good in Pacers blue, and he doesnt punch his teammates in the face either afaik

Yeah I hate to say it but I think indianas chemistry is fucked up. Sounds like they aren't getting along. Apparently Hibbert said there was "a lot of selfish guys in the locker room".

Idk I think they better make a few trades this offseason. Also Stephenson is a unrestricted free agent this summer.. Does Indiana have enough $ to pay Lance what he is going to ask for? I think another team will make a bigger offer that Indiana can't match

We'll see

hibbert is shooting 18% inside the paint in the last 9 games i think it was. how is that even possible? that really is the main problem imo. and add that to him trying to cover a 3 point shooter means it's 4 vs 5 out there. watching the games i'll see the players basically look at hibbert posting someone up in the paint and then quickly look away knowing if they pass to him he's gonna miss it. i really wanna see west and scola lineup for next game, with scola being on fire right now and only getting around 19 minutes each game.

i really wouldnt mind if stephenson leaves. he's definitely a great player but no doubt that's who hibbert is talking about. he's just a really annoying person im sure anyone can see that just by looking at his face and he can be tough to root for. i like what falcons do where they really wont even consider signing someone who can be trouble.

I don't know man I have a lot of faith in Stephenson's game. I think he has extremely high potential and would love to see him go to Denver.

I think lance is an even better pg than George hill

finally the pacers did the lineup i wanted with scola and west, but they waited until the 4th quarter to do it. how is millsap making all these 3s? feels like every time he shoots one he makes it. and that fadeaway 3 in the 4th i was like wtf

I know stephenson is a great player with a lot of potential, but it really depends on how much money he's going to be asking for. he's a really streaky player and when he gets on fire he can dominate games by himself. like today his shot wasnt falling, but turner stepped up when he got in foul trouble and played good today. do i want stephenson back? yeah. but if they dont keep him i wouldnt be really pissed or anything.

and george hill isnt really a true PG and he'd probably be a better bench player. But he's a good defender so he fits well with the team, and also has his games where scores a lot of points.

Now CJ Watson, he's really surprised me this year. I thought he'd just be a decent backup based on what ive seen from him on the bulls but without him no way pacers would have been number 1 seed. when watson missed games from a hamstring injury they went 7-11 and with him 49-14. that's crazy. some players just fit better with certain teams. like dj augustin was the shittiest player on the pacers last year along with gerald green and now they both go to different teams and are playing great.

only bluelight trash talking could get me excited for a Bull / Wizards game

this website is great for that, taking games you normally could give two fucks about and adding something relevant to them

can't believe Nene got ejected for grabbing Jimmy Butler (who I like in a slightly-autistic Andre Iguodala way), in the other sport with playoffs going on right now you can punch a guy in the face repeatedly and only sit out for 5 mins

NBA definitely tells its refs to keep the games close, and honestly the more I think about it the more I start to appreciate hockey more than any other sport

there's no "pass interference" or "technical fouls" or "4 point plays" in hockey, you just score the fucking puck. if the other team has a person sent to the penalty box, 99/100 times they truly deserved to be there. none of this quasi-soccer bullshit where every other play ends in a whistle

HASH TAG

CUP CRAZY

i dont like talking about refs but since shimazu brought it up...

a lot of times i'll just be like there's no way they truly thought that was a foul. they're simply given too much wiggle room in the NBA

I mean refs are basically trashed in every sport, but NBA refs definitely take the cake. I don't watch soccer though.

if the nba isnt rigged to some degree I think im going to start believing in voodoo

that being said, i havent seen a team self-destruct faster than the Clippers since the Eagles the year after the super bowl.

if you ever wonder why certain franchises can never seem to get anything right just look at the owners. People like to think they have no bearing on a team's success but they are involved in everything to a certain degree. Just look at what happened to the Lakers when Dr Bus died

I'll say this officially now even though it pains me: Bradley Beal is more valuable to an NBA team than John Wall

defense, passing, finishing fast breaks. BE YOURSELF ANDRE. actually no, just be this guy fuck your jumpshot

that was the weirdest game i ever watched. pacers come out playing with no energy, no one moving around and settling for jumpshots. and then the hawks break the playoff record for 3 point shots in a single game (basically all in the 2nd quarter). also who the hell is Mike Scott? Never even heard of him before.

then finally in the 3rd quarter pacers start playing like they should have been from the start but by that time it was already too late. idk if they would have won either way with hawks pretty much making every 3

refs gonna help out the pacers in game 6 to force it to game 7 though

the pacers arent shit man just admit it

ROy Hibbert was good being the Defensive POY until someone told him he should offense more

good call

Paul George was good being Scottie Pippen for a while until someone told him he was Lebron

good call

Lance Stephenson was good being Tyreke for a minute until someone told him to fight Evan Turner

good call

Evan Turner was never good

good call
