I have. Lots of times. Cunts shouting FREEEEEEDOM at me etc.

You seem to be missing that you said it is never acceptable. What we're saying is that's not the case. It is sometimes acceptable. I accept that a week solid would do my nut in as well, but it's not never acceptable for someone to mock your accent.

Do you think I took offence too easily? I felt I didn't want to raise it with her at first but I didn't like it. When I did she hadn't appreciated it but said if I'd done similar she'd have called me out far earlier.

Had plenty because I'm female, but not that before. It took me by surprise because it personally hurt me.

I get it when I go Gloucester. Normally I speak fast and with quite a strong York accent, so I deliberately slow it down when I'm there and don't do the accent. Of course it slipped when I met my mate's mates and I was drunk. They kept telling me to say 'I'm going to the pub' so I'm repeating verbatim and they're like 'No! In Yorkshire!'

One 'am of ter't pub' later and they're in hysterics.

You are (both of you - & GoS) correct, I did not mean to think that in the absolute. Thinking and typing not connecting.

Are you voting YES or NO in the upcoming referendum?
 
I think spirituality has a place but actual religion with its misogynistic skymen can do one as far as I'm concerned!
