Peaches Geldof - at the going down of the sun etc

Peaches has been found dead. Not sure what it was yet, she said she took heroin once so maybe she's been caning it too hard. Always liked her mam, didn't know much about Peaches.

Only just been announced so I thought I'd keep you all up to date.
 
I know the name and have probably seen her at some point but don't really know anything about her. I do know she's but a young woman though and is a terrible thing to lose anybody at so early a stage. I would expect it's going to be a drug thing cos that does seem to be all the rage amongst those who die at so early an age. Another terrible thing. You wonder why people who presumably have access to the best advice (not to mention the best drugs) and with so many peers with plenty experience of drugs get themselves in so much trouble with them. Whatever the case, it is a terrible thing no matter what happened. She's of no age to be dying.

Recognise the Charlie Brooker clip - must be that that is where I know her from. Perhaps not the most unbiased thing to form an opinion of a person with but kinda suspect that it does reveal rather a lot. But being a bit dense and being a Scientologist are not quite enough to be wishing death on a person over so is still a terrible thing. Hope for her sake she at least managed to rid herself of some of those pesky Thetans ready for next time.

Don't speak ill of the dead. I'm not saying I was particularly a fan of Peaches Geldof, but she was well known in certain circles, so I don't think her death being on the news is that big a deal.

You can question the BBC & other news medias priorities rather than her.

Meh, I'm just grouchy because it makes me think of all the EADDers we've lost over the past few years. :(
 
I dunno, it's sad whenever someone that young dies. I'm mainly glad that for once the news isn't about someone I know.

I dunno yoyo, most of the people I know at work are arseholes so for me celebrities are usually more interesting.

In her case and many others there seems to be a link with the celebrity status/escapism. Although I understand what you mean, I've seen people with addictions to heroin particularly with this where they have the best support from peers, despite the trouble/hurt caused that comes with it, but for some reason they just don't seem to communicate with them etc. For some reason people in those situations for some reason tend to lie more to those that don't even judge and only care than they do with those that don't.

Think it's a real shame as my only memory of her is the video of her talking about the parenting, although dead now it's sad that she was so passionate and I thought reasonably correct on the subject that she managed to have this underlying.

I had mate's at school fucking 15/16 year old stabbed to death. They get a few day's in the local rag. If she gas died through drugs hopefully the media attention will avoid other deaths
