I still get very creeped out by emails which start with, "Dear xxxxx, I hope you're well. I'm a head-hunter."

It's not a phrase I'm keen on. Will they be after my kidneys next?

LOL.... Speaking of that, I signed some petition about some old TV programme called Brookside, a bloody ace soap opera, set in Liverpool.
Well I signed a petition n ever since I've had these bloody begging E-mails. blah....
I must say, apart from a million notifications I've set up from BL I receive these n a load of ads... I most be so very popular hahahaha xxxx
I know the feeling with the crappy E-mails, swampy xxxx

Yea it's how I interact with BL. It's why I never find out anything that's going on here, then I ask Snolly. She tells me n I'm like sh** I never knew about that lol. It's just easier cause I don't just come on EADD n it's easier to just find out what's happening, or so I thought.... lol.....
Then I look through EADD once n a while n see all these new threads n I'm like WTF????

EDIT: Does what I just wrote even make sense? Sorry having a drink. I mean I don't know what's happening in EADD because I subscribe to threads such as Gibberings n anything important like the RIP Knock thread - rather than look at the actual sub-forum. I only tend to do that if I find out something has happened or I'm on laptop like now... I know what you're saying though.... I get like 100s of E-mails a day to delete, but 'tis easier in a way lol....

EDITX2; Swamp I E-mailed you, well you know, when, I hope I never offended you in any way. Just want you to know that it was never meant in any nasty way. I do tend to E-mail people but it's just my way of doing things, E-mailing people I mean. anyway just wanted you to know it wasn't meant in a mean way xxxx

I've been busy with work and family shit unfortunately :(
My brother was back from Indonesia for a week and we had to sell a couple of houses. The plus side is now I am the proud owner of a 1973 porsche 911. Sounds like I'm unleashing the dogs from hell, goes like the clappers but has no air-conditioning so you won't catch the little lady in it until Winter comes. Got a work junket down the coast this weekend so I'll have to resend into my superhero alter ego and maintain my bosses belief that I am a clean cut almost non drinker. Going to be a bit hard seeing as tonight is also his 60th birthday

That's good, yea I did PM you, sorry I call it E-mail, well it looks like an E-mail, so that's what I call it. I'm drinking some wine at mo so can't really read lot's of stuff lol. Glad you're family have sorted stuff. Don't be a stranger here. I had a look at the lounge n WOW lol :) That's all I've to say on that. Why don't you apply to be moderator again, OTW? I'm sure you'd be ace. You've always been nice with me anyway.

i am not sure think that it was a reaction to the breakdown and then when all the kindness started coming my way its just making it really hard for me to leave but we will see after next weeks visit with the shrink could ask them to section me for a little while because i could do with a break you see

FG, if you need to be sectioned then go for it but, and please don't take this the wrong way, please can I ask you, as a member of EADD, not to make another Goodbye thread??? I'm not trying to be offensive or mean in any way but you had a lot of people worrying over you - and you must understand that, after recently losing Knock. We don't want to lose another. I did not even know you'd produced a "Goodbye Thread" but I know that Kicklazz was incredibly worry about you that's why I E-mailed you, so it's not me being kind---it's Nicklazz. he was worried about you, so were others on here. Please think of others here to, FG, I'm not trying to appear mean or uncaring it's just that this community has suffered a huge loss, and don't want to lose you to.
Oh I hope this doesn't come out wrong---I E-mailed Josh earlier too, I'm trying to put these things the best way I can. Do you know what I'm trying to say? None of us want to lose you but we understand why you need a break n so forth - but we will always be here for you if you need us

just got this email it may interest some of you

Apologies for the lack of updates in recent weeks. It would appear that Kenny MacAskill has his hands full with trying to do away with corroboration in the Scottish Justice system so his attempt to licence airguns would appear to be on the back burner just now. The threat is still there however with recent comments from the SSPCA trying to push for it to go through.

As some of you may know the organisation Firearms UK was formed after the popularity of this campaign. The aim was to continue positive action and encouraging greater teamwork within the shooting community.

Firearms UK has now created a new campaign entitled unity and is running a petition to HM Government to allow .22 rimfire pistols to be owned for competitive target shooting once more.

Although this petition is .22 rimfire pistols and these will not interest everyone the key word of the campaign is unity. I ask everyone who has signed this petition to continue working together and to also sign the firearms UK petition. We have a chance of making history with this and it will no doubt facilitate further positive change that will let us lobby for fairer gun laws in the UK.
