If all drugs were legal, would the market phase some out?

If people were freely allowed to design drugs and the consumers knew what they were going to get, I would imagine that all of these crappy bath salt like drugs would disappear over night.

PMA could be gone forever. The only reason I can imagine it staying is if you still had a black market selling stuff for cheaper and they decided to start either adulterating or completely replacing pills with PMA (as happens in some places currently). I imagine piperazines would be gone too, if someone had access to something cleaner and more enjoyable I sincerely doubt they would choose a piperazine.

Some legit businesses could end up adulterating too. Sleazy businessmen will be sleazy businessmen, no matter what side of the legal system they are on. They might decide PMA is cheaper so they could take out a tiny bit of MDMA and replace it in products in the hope that it would cut costs and maximise products.

Obviously this would be illegal and there would be repercussions if caught, but I imagine some people would try their luck at getting past regulations.

Sad fact is that no matter how much drug laws are eased up; someone will market a more dangerous but cheaper blackmarket alternative to popular substances.

There's just too many goddamn fools looking for a buzz.

I say we go for it and let em kill themselves off..it will be bad for a few years but i'd love the excuse to kill some methheads:\

if all the hard drug users were no longer persecuted, I've always had the suspicion that they would all prey on marijuana users. Eventually the marijuana users would be hunted into extinction, and the "drug" marijuana would fall by the wayside into obscurity.

you know how in school the alpha kids all ganged up on the weaker ones and stole their lunch money? and the nerds would have starved to death had not the teachers and authorities intervened? yeah, same concept.

Why would drugs being legal make this happen? Why would hard drug users, who's addiction would be cheaper and more affordable if legal, go out of their way to target marijuana users?

because they are easy prey for one. and two, there is so much heat on the hard addicts already, that they wouldn't dare attempt modern day Viking raids on stoned out of their mind tokers, because it would be a pr nightmare and would end up in a crackdown on meth and heroin in any major city that tried it. But if drugs were legalized, it would be like all of a sudden the Ninja Turtles didn't have to creep about in the sewers, and could come out of the shadows. All hell would break loose, imho.

first they ridicule you, then you win - Gandhi.

I guarantee you it's already happening on a smaller scale in Washington and Colorado. All the dopers are running game on the residents and tourists who have smoked themselves into a stupor. I like how they show the tax revenue figures for these states, I'd like to see how much the meth, heroin, oxy, and cocaine users have stolen from weed abusers now that it's legal.

And alcohol users and cigarette smokers arent?

How much have they stolen from drinkers and cigarette smokers? They have been legal for decades, why not target them as well?

And this post, kids, is why you shouldnt do methamphetamine...

if somebody's shitfaced you might be able to roll them for their wallet, but the bouncer at the bar is going to catch you. tobacco doesn't have the same incapacitating effects.

and weed smokers are easy targets because of how much it slows down the brain and makes users so docile, caring only about getting stoned, and belieiving in peace and easy going attitudes.

maybe when they are high, but once they are sick, they "level up" and it's almost like they took performance enhancing drugs, they are able to do the most beautiful things to rob people out of their valuables for more dope.

Ever seen a guy nodding out in a car park after a hit of H? You could probably draw a cock n balls on their chin and order a meal by the time they woke up.

Scrawny arse meth addicts may look crazy but a distinct lack of body mass hardly makes them a threat.
