Yeah, the idea of devoting a day to drinking is like devoting a day to....I don't know, breathing or that sex thing people are so enthusiastic about.

n the same amount of time (well, maybe 3 minutes extra) one could whip up some curried eggs with feta on rye toast with hummus, siracha, and arugula
I used to cook a lot of vegetables and tofu and healthy stuff. Still make rice and lentils sometimes. I dunno, things happen, reluctant to spend money on food these days, not managing time well.

some of my favorite things
So y'all enjoy consumables, like the consumerist sheeple that you are.
* As for me, I'm fond of raindrops on roses, and whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles, and warm woolen mittens.
Alright I'll be serious,
Have you ever seen pampas grass tufts glow silver under midsummer moonlight? What is culinary aroma to petrichor? Can any singer or lyricist produce the likes of a coyote's howl?
*I just realized my serious statement could be viewed in the light of this jokey part. To be clear on consumerism: I own 3 pairs of black leather dress shoes, recently polished, but gettin' a bit too obviously worn, a pair of brown suede walking shoes, a pair of kangaroo leather hiking boots, and some garbage sneakers I bust out when I wanna take long walks in the rain. I own 4 coats that are weather appropriate for only a week out of the year, and I forever regret missing out on this (on sale for) $400 winter coat I saw while in Uni, thought it wasteful to spend all my worldly moneys on it for some silly reason, I looked fabulous in that thing. Actually, almost all of my clothes were obtained as gifts, hand-me-downs, or from thrift stores...so I'm not as stylin' as I made myself sound right now. Just reread first sentence of this paragraph and remembered what I was talking about, so uh, yeah, I really do like nature (in spite of my indoorsy habits)

put music and literature in there, and that's pretty much what i need in this life.
Minus the psychoactives, your list could be reduced to "Art." Which I have always thought of as a fundamental, but alas, I've observed and communicated with other people enough to know that this is not the case.

time evaporates unnoticed
I see where the time has gone. Elevated focus leads to obsessive concern with diction and syntax, and a predilection for chaining together statements with sophomoric enthusiasm, as though quantity gave rise to quality. Opposite in reality. Should limit self to necessary, think like Rorschach.
