I am about to try jumping off from hydrocodone (Norco). I don't take a lot of this, but I am so addicted that it has ruined my life. I am afraid folks will think I am lame, because my dose is so low, and I have been watching other people try to withdraw from so much that I am in awe of their courage. But I am afraid, and hoping to get support here.
Also, I realize that I am not much acquainted with the drug culture. I take this for pain, not recreation, and I have never experienced a high from it. NEVER.
But I do have that paradoxical effect of gaining energy from it as opposed to a sedative effect. I have chronic fatigue and this was a godsend at first. I got up to 30 mg/day before the doctor cut me off. I know, it's nothing.
I just want to know if I can expect to get free of it within a few days, if I just quit cold turkey, or if it will keep me down longer.
I have only taken a week off from work, I am hoping it will be enough.
If anyone will take me seriously, it would such a blessing.
