Somni my company makes machinery. I fabricate everything from machine frames to little components. Almost all of it is non-ferrous material. Mostly stainless but a lot of aluminum. Mostly TIG but, a fair amount of MIG and even some brazing of brass and such. I'm not sure if Welderman has made exactly what he does public knowledge or if he only told me via PM so I don't want to blow up his spot. Edit- he beat me to it

Beta, you know how 1/10 staff members quit and then kind go in the extreme other direction? Well that's what happened to lefty. Not sure but, I think there were a lot of alts involved too. Back in the day alts could last forever but, nowadays they'd be lucky to get off 5 posts before they get banned.

Yeah I know he had alts, but I just mean what happened in the first place to get his original account banned?

He was on Sr.Staff when I left so I'm just confused about what happened.

Hells yeah.... metal working and all its many facets are where its at. Props to the bluelight welding posse and yeah...... I was told I should become a medium because I am so intuitive. I seem to just have a sixth sense about some things.

Also, the cost to drug test welfare recepients far exceeds the cost of just giving them the money. Who are you to choose who can and cant receive benefits? Not every welfare recepient squanders their aid on drugs.

I asked him a while back, when he was using "tentram" & he just mentioned something about needing a change or something to that effect. I was away for a while also, but from what I gather he became admin & had his account b& sometime after he stepped down. Then he started under tentram & it all went downhill from there :\. He's still around on FB tho.

There was a whole big thing that went down with that, involving leftwing and a few other mods at the time too. I don't think we can really get into it. A few people got banned.. then he came back with tentram and was really chill for a while, but kinda fell off the deep end and started really pushing buttons, so he got the boot again. Lot of drama here over the years.

If my hard earned tax dollars are going to low life's who would rather shoot out babies and shoot up dope then yes, I absolutely should have some say if they receive "benefits", and if someone pisses dirty then they shouldn't be getting any assistance. I have gone through serious shit in my life and never used drugs as a crutch or an excuse.

I made the "unfortunate" mistake of working hard and making something of my life. It's not always easy and I eat the proverbial "shit sandwich" from time to time in order to move forward. I also support myself and will never rely on the government for assistance. Honestly, I'm way too proud for that.

We all have been thru shit at some time or another. I work and go to college full time and dont rely on gov assistance, not that id even be eligible if i wanted it. Gov assistance is just not that much, but to some who receive it it is part of their lifeline. Implementing drug testing procedures and the additional paperwork is far more costly to maintain than not. So more money would come out of our paychecks. Also adding more stress to the loads of social workers. Im confused by this misperception people have that people who receive aid are low lifes livin large on our backs. Look at Minnesota and Florida's problems with the policy.

Yeah..... I don't understand why we would want to test welfare recipients when It would just cost more to test them and why aren't people all up in arms to test politicians, who we also pay our hard earned money to. The politician who made the bill to test Florida recipients was busted with cocaine... Talk about hypocrites!

While I was in college I was a cashier at a grocery store and I saw things that made my blood boil. I saw people buying lobster with their food stamp cards. One day I asked a guy if the coupons that were on the belt were his, he rolled his eyes and said "I don't have time for coupons" and proceeded to buy a bunch of junk with his food stamps. I saw people get cash back on their cards and buy cigarettes and beer. I have a HUGE problem with these behaviors. I think the food program should work like the WIC program when you are only allowed certain items and you are never given cash.

I do believe in helping people but I have seen way too many people who have abused the current system to freely open my wallet. The new generation of "the entitled" makes me want something really drastic to happen. There are too many people who are not willing to work for what they have, they just want it handed to them.

I agree with you that not everyone who gets some sort of benefit is a low life. I do believe there are people who are trying to make it and should be helped but I do believe there should be a screening process because the current system is very broken.

I definitely think that politicians should be tested and they shouldn't be receiving any of the benefits that they receive and all of their salaries need to be slashed to a small fraction of what they get now. Again, the system is broken. All I can do is try to get involved and always vote. Both the Democrat nd Republican parties need to go.
 
Well it looks like I might have to be staying away from the ole dope for a long time now. I went in to have my TB test checked at the office and as they said the results for all the other tests were in . I passed the hair and urine screens! I was fucking ecstatic. I walked out of the office and ran back to my car pumping my fist with excitement. 56 days off dope and I passed a test that is suppose to go back 90 days, I feel like I robbed a bank and got away with it.

But the reason I am probably going to have to abstain for now on is they may very well do random testing. I am not sure about my city, but 2 other cities in the same union use random hair testing. 1 city runs randoms every 2 months and pick about 10 guys, so in the end of the year its about half the department who gets tested at one point, and its possible to be tested more than once in a year (this is not my departments procedure, but I will have to try and figure out what it is). I suppose its all for the better, gives me a good reason to stay clean.
 
Congrats RTrain! Definitely a good reason to stay off dope. And being at work you'll find less desire to use anyway. If you want could you continue on bupe?
