You seem like you're doing good Sam. :)

Hey, you guys should give these songs a listen. Then if you like it, listen to absolutely anything else by them (I have only found 12 songs, they are pretty new). If possible, listen loudly with good headphones or good speakers. It's quite layered and complex. The more I listen the more I love these guys.

Lol one beer turned to two and... you know haha. good thing i have evening shift at work tomorrow

damn bro, i'm digging that stuff. very complex.

I know, right? I burned a CD of all their songs and I listen to it every time I'm driving (my car has epic speakers). Over and over, every time I get to the end I wish I was listening to it again so I start over. :) Better every time.

Have any of you guys seen that phenomenom that people who haven't really liked/listened any psychedelic music (psytrance, psybient, psydub, downtempo, goa trance etc.) have started to like those genres after trying psychedelics? I mean not only under the influence, but also sober.

That happened to me, and I've witnessed this phenomenom happen to a few others. What is going on there?

I think it's just because the music makes sense to you once you've been to that sort of state, after all the music was made with that sort of state in mind.

A lot is going on here, but also at the same time, the most basic of human function is happening here too. Firstly over time your body and mind matures, kind of like hating the taste of broccoli when you're young and then suddenly craving it in adulthood for reasons not limited to the taste. You didn't even realize that not only would you like the taste if you kept an open mind, but also found all sorts of other reasons to eat broccoli as an adult, like the nutrition of it, the price, etc., things you never would've considered part of liking a food as a child.

Same phenomenon I think.

I've began liking certain music that I never liked before simply due to life events that took place and made me appreciate the artist or the genre more. Even since I started playing music on stage with bands my perspective on all sorts of different genres has changed. It goes the opposite way too, some things I used to like don't make sense to me anymore, again just like some foods I loved as a child, such as dark chocolate, I now have no desire for.

I'm thinking of you Xork and wishing you luck on your new path. :)

It's strange how 2013 seemed to be the crash, burn, transition year for so many in here.

I need to do laundry and clean up, sigh. :P

There is only one genre I can't stand, thats like death/heavy metal. I don't know, it sounds just, evil? I don't know, I remember liking some easier metal back when I was teenager, or 13 year-old or something. But I never get how one would enjoy that. I have a friend who says that he can channel his negative thoughts through that music or something. I feel that I want to listen something beautiful and happy when I feel negative.

One more, theres nothing like listening to this when youre peaking on shrooms+MDMA.

Simon Postford is a real genius.

^ trying to cut back. I love beer, I just wish it cost as much as pepsi.

The most I drink on a non-drunken night is 3 beer so I don't get much in the way of health problems, but in order to have beer for later times I can't drink every night.

I find myself drinking the most when I have stress or some problems in life. The past 6-12 months I havent drank so much because my life is in order, I have a job etc. Also I dont drink heavily as a few years ago, like when I was 15-20 years old. I enjoy a good red wine and some good Czech beers. :) Havent bought hard liquor in a while, even tho I really like some good Russian vodkas. They give you this crystal clear drunk lol. especially when you binge haha. I can honestly say that doing drugs once in a while have been a lot better for me than doing alcohol heavily once a week or more

Also alcohol seems to be real common problem for a lot of people in Finland, I don't know if theres a word of it in English how to express it.. Something like "sickness of nation" - the world is "kansantauti" in my language but i couldnt find it in dictionary. People drink a lot here and its pretty socially acceptable to get hammered every weekend. Really, if you dont do it you get fucked socially

The funny thing is that drugs are way cheaper than alcohol. I can get 16 heavy codeine doses, good enough for a whole night, for the cost of 12 beer.

I tend to go on a drink fest whenever I go south, everything is so much cheaper and there's way more selection of craft brews. lulz, every time I go I end up getting drunk every day for the first 4 days, and then I'm like 'okay, I don't feel so good anymore, I love cheap booze, but I gotta slow down' :)
