@Solipsis yes and no, I find this effect doesn't happen every time. There have been several times where I have taken a traditional psych the day before an aMT and as you would expect the aMT "trip" loses the majority of it's visual component while the empathogen experience is still in tact however, there have been times where the trip was just as visual had I not taken any psychedelic the day before, aMT is very random when it comes to tolerance vs effects. Basically, if your looking for a straight 12+ hour roll with no visuals you may get what your looking for by taking a strong psychedelic the day before but just keep in mind that there is indeed a possibility that aMT's visual aspect may remain un-affected, either way the empathogenic aspect seems to be the last thing to go, even with a hefty tolerance. YMMV of course

This psychedelic is very weird. when i got hit by a mini van and broke both my legs and was unable to move for a few months. I became very depressed.
AMT was what got me walking around and feeling "alive" again. When you have depression, this drug has WAAAAY more effects at low doses than if you are in a normal modus operandi.
I really like this compound. It's quite peculiar.

Sometimes it feels like nothing more than a smooth paranoia free cup of Coffee.
Other times it's like 100ug of LSD meeting 1.5 grams of mushrooms on 40mg of Mdma.
There is not a single aspect of it which is overwhelming.

How did 5mg feel?

I`m asking because friday is my girl`s birthday and she said she would like to take some, and me too
I have separated 15mg doses, but now, after re-re-rethinking about it, I am afraid of something going wrong, since she takes 30mg lexapro (escitalopram) daily, and thats a large dose...
So now I am considering cutting the dose to something between 5-10mg. Also we will spend the night in a party, and we will probably drink a lot.
For me it just looks like too many don't`s and too few do`s. She already took aMT (report 2 pages back), but it was a 13-15mg dose and she was taking 22mg lexapro back then, and all went well.
I have done some homework, but found nothing definitive about aMT + SSRI. I fear some bad reaction, specially after reading on erowid.
It looks like this aMT is freebase, because in my vendor`s product list most compounds are listed as HCL or fumarate, but aMT and 5-meo-dmt have nothing written (I`ll ask him)
What do you guys think? I know the decision mine to make, and I will probably cut the dose or just not take it at all but I still would like to hear your opinion anyway...

Actually if you're interested to hear, I started out with I think 5 mg about 2 or 3 winters ago. I had a really beautiful and peaceful setting namely joining our adorable neighborhood folks ice skating on the frozen canal behind where I live. The air was very crisp, quite dry which is excellent in winter because it doesn't feel as cold, things don't look dreary but clear instead, etc. It was very easy to understand why it has been used as an anti-depressant (in Russia), but more than that it was a mood enhancer for me. Very memorable was looking at fresh snow on the ground and seeing very nice snow / ice crystals sparkle on the ground like stars. Things weren't moving or shifting visually so calling that a visual is somewhat strong but it was so aesthetically satisfying that I was truly touched by it.

You can test if you have freebase or salt by checking how it reacts when you put a clump on a little bit of water, if freebase it tends to make a film just like oil does on water. It may dissolve nonetheless if it is very little material and you sprinkle it on the water's surface, but while it does or does not the freebase will want to spread across the surface before 'disappearing' while the salt will easily go into the body of the water. You can facilitate the dissolution of freebase by adding a bit of an acid like vinegar. It may be easier on the stomach that way.

That your gf was fine 2 pages back doesn't mean it cannot or will not be a problem. Also drinking a lot won't be helpful in that respect. Are there no alternatives that are also a lot of fun? Surely they must exist...
Sorry doesn't seem worth the risks unless you can find new information that is comforting and relieving.

I'll try to dig something up as I seem to recall having encountered the snippet or two on AMT with pharms, I think SSRI's indeed.

Actually I have read those, but the guy with the gf on paxil didn't say what happened after all... Also I posted this here because experienced users like you are very active in this thread.
I also thought on the subject of she taking lexapro because she is depressed, and drugs+depression not being the best combination, even with aMT being used as an anti-depressant.
I also have 4-aco-dmt, 4-aco-dipt, which i guess would be safer for not being MAOIs, but not safe at all for a person going through difficulties, and which are not party drugs at all.
I guess it will be just alcohol after all, I feel too responsible for her and I wouldn't relax too, just like it happened last time. Actually, reading the thread in the second link made me feel irresponsible already.
Maybe I will freeze this aMT again, so I can tell you guys one or two years from now if it still works like it should

I was caught selling some in school recently and co-operated, the nbome was sent off to be tested but I wasn't arrested as I was told it's not a controlled substance at the moment but it is apparently transitioning into being illegal right now

^ this is the wrong thread to ask that question in. Anyways if your in the US 25i was scheduled not too long ago, as of now 25i, b, and c are 100% illegal. I can't speak for other countries laws but AFAIK the NBOME's have been illegal in the UK for quite some time. Consider yourself lucky that you got caught when you did. Also stop selling RC's in school, I sure as hell hope you weren't selling it as acid either or I will pray that you be arrested (not that prayer brings much if anything).

You were selling something with the purpose of it being ingested. This is enough to prosecute you. I'm also sure you can get legal action just for selling anything without a license, I seem to remember hearing about kids getting lemonade stands closed down by asshole cops because they didn't have a license or something to sell.

The 25I NBOMe may have been synthesised using a route starting with 2C-I, which is illegal. Traces of it could be found in the 25I-NBOMe.

That's kind of irrelevant though as the NBOMe compounds themselves are now illegal in a lot of places, including the UK and US.

Ok, we did it anyway, we both did aMT, even though my gf is taking 30 mg escitalopram daily... I decided to take a "calculated risk", so we took half the dose i had measured, which was 6-9mg (gemini 20 scale, not so precise). And good news, we had a great trip! no bad interaction with her medicine and all...
This day I discovered that, for me, the perfect dose, at least for a social setting, is under 10mg and it was the best amt trip I ever had. Brief TR for you guys:
As I said before, it was my gf`s birthday. We dropped our doses and went to a "bar", but where I live bars are usually in the open, not like i went to in europe. In this case, our table was under a big centennial tree, nice place, despite being full of drunk and unknown people. She invited lots of her friends, and I invited some of my best friends. There were aprox. 30 ppl in our table
We agreed to go easy on drinking beer, at least until the aMT started to kick. One of my friends arrived, and since I had split the 2 16mg doses i had, i gave one of the half doses to him.
The initial effects started to kick in 1h and the full effects in 2 hours, just as usual. From that moment, since we were feeling fine and drinking felt good, we started to drink beer for real!
I always thought that low doses of psychs go well with alcohol, I really enjoy 1/4 acid blotter + beer. And this time was no different, the drunkness mixed soooooo well with this low aMT dose! I am usually more introvert, and am a little lazy to "small talk", but the aMT made me have really interesting conversations almost all of the time, with lots of different ppl.
The effects kind of reminded me of MD, but I wasn't like having those exaggerated unrestrictedloveforeveryfuckingbody feelings, no! I was sincerely enjoying each conversation and each person, but in a more real way! It was also great to have good friends around, and I was feeling very close to them.
The trip had a psychedelic side to it too, colours were brighter and the air felt fresh, although there were no noticeable visual distortions. Peaceful thoughts, exciting insights and smart associations. Lots of laughs! But no anxiety nor paranoia.
Long story short: this was one of the best times I've had since long time!
Again, of course I don't mean to tell anyone this mix we made is safe, but 30mg of escitalopram is a higher than normal dose, and even with the great amount of alcohol consumed, there were no bad reactions.My gf also reported to have a great time, she even considered signing in to BL and post a TR (but i think she won't), although she isn't a drugs enthusiast as I am.
For myself, I got to the conclusion that I've had superb experiences like this one in small doses of drugs in general. I still want to try a higher dose of aMT (70mg+), but it will definitely have to be a in a whole different setting.

I've had a batch of tan colored AMT for a few years now, about 2 years, the color seems to have gone a bit darker and the consistancy has changed, will it still be ok? just a bit weaker i assume? i tried 30mg a few months ago and it felt indecisive, no stomach issues or anything but it felt kinda all over the place and a bit weird, hard to explain, probably under-dosed from what ive read, im thinking of 50mg soon

Is it freebase or Hcl?
I have stored my freebase aMT for over 2 years and it still works. Original collor was off-white, and it still is, but I think the smell is a little more pronounced.
Mine still works, I tried 35mg and 9mg and both experiences were very effective! Maybe I am just too sensitive, but both times the effects were far from indecisive... And, IME, 35mg is far from an under-dose!
BTW, how did you store it? I kept mine in an airtight bag, protected from light, inside a jar with silica and all that inside the freezer8(

Couple of zip loc bags, inside a container. its gone all dry etc. i had an odd experience on it, the effects were kinda mildly all over the place, felt wavey, a bit uncomfortable but nothing major. was speedy for a while then wavey. thought process a bit deeper. wasnt a bad experience, not very rememerable though, just seemed to mess me around, makes me think i coulda underdosed. Im very experienced with DMT, stims, etc

Your aMT is fine, you just underdosed. Underdosing aMT provides an "all over the place", stimmy, half-tripping state that's rather uncomfortable at times. 50mgs should break that half way tripping barrier, I find 65-80mgs my sweet spot for a full experience but I wouldn't jump into those dose as I've had 60mg doses incapacitate me in sheer euphoria for 5+ hours. If you plan on storing aMT for long periods sticking it in the fridge or freezer is ideal, just let it thaw out before opening the bag as moisture will aid in degradation

Lol DMT and aMT are not even in the same level, there's litterally no way to compare. DMT has that natural euphoria that you can achieve from mush and other uplifting tryptamines, aMT has a combination of that tryptamine euphoria and MDMA euphoria as aMT is a monoamine releaser in the same way MDMA is but also a 5-ht2a agonist like traditional psychs. To me aMT feels like a 12 hour candyflip in a way, I find aMT VERY pleasurable and would go as far as to say it's my favorite recreational psychedelic. It's truely the most unique of the tryptamines, it's good stuff but it's not for everyone. If you felt very underwhelmed at 30mgs then give 50 or maybe even 60mgs a shot depending on how much material you have to work with. aMT isn't the most visual chem though and it leaves the thought process pretty grounded so don't expect any life-changing experiences from it, just pure hedonistic euphoria. Overall though I find aMT way more euphoric than DMT but not nearly as mystical and thought provoking.

The first time i smoked it i broke through, blasted, a female entity "guided" me, felt like mothernature or something. it was pure love. i became connected to everything, realized everything is one, it was beyond anything i thought a human could experience, shook me to the core. some of it i cant remember, it was so fast and intense, absolutely amazing, profound, beautiful. cant begin to properly explain it. The bits i can remember will stay with me i'll never forget. nothing will ever prepare you for the experience either. everybody should experience it

Haha yeah DMT is a fucking fantastic chem that's for sure but aMT sounds like what your after. My aMT trips consist of orgasmic euphoria, great music appreciation and expansion (aMT seems to make music sound deeper and more rich), and decent, colorful visuals. I litterally shut off all the lights, put headphones on, and stare into the darkness for hours at a time on aMT all while feeling that MDMA type love and euphoria, aMT becomes very sedating and relaxing at higher doses for me. Now I think I'm gonna take aMT this weekend, all this aMT talk gets me excited lol, too bad all I have is 50mgs left. This may be my final aMT trip, I can't risk ordering a scheduled substance from the UK no matter how amazing it is . I burned through my gram in like 2-3 months lol, you guys in the UK are lucky, aMT is dirt cheap over there.

Ps: aMT is the best foundation psychedelic I've taken as well, litterally everything goes well with it so if you find that you didn't hit the right dose feel free to add something to the mix, 4-aco-dmt works the best. My favorite combo ever was 4-aco-dmt (~20mgs), aMT (50-60mgs), and 2c-c (20-30mgs). I like to start adding stuff when the aMT is on the decline though so everything ends at once.

Yeah, your experience with dmt is "similar" to the concept i have about it, which is why I agree that it is in no way comparable to to aMT.

If you take it expecting a mindblowing experience like dmt, you will be underwhelmed, no doubt ! Haha..

It has a lot to do with what you expect... When I took it in those dosages i kinda knew what to expect, so I wasnt frustrated, and had a wonderful time.

However, the lower 9mg dose was better for that purpose: a light, euphoric and social trip, but never failing to open my eyes fore some subtile aspects of life.

I admit that 35mg made me unconfortable some times, and I now I think it makes sense what you guys are saying, and I agree that this trip was very wavy!
Next time i have the opportunity (probably far in the future), I will definetly try a bigger dose, expecting to achieve that overwhelming euphoria some users describe.... How much should I take to breakthrough?
