I bet your house is a shite state

Ah, but isn't that only because they know that warmth plus affection probably equals food, with shelter a possible bonus? :D

Im not sure if dogs are that calculating and intelligent to think 'if i wag my tail and act pleased to see this guy he will feed me', i think they are just thinking that if they act friendly they will just get a bit of attention, sometimes that's all they want.

Yes, yes... nature's weirdest events. They're referred to as 'weird' because they deviate significantly from the norm. :)

These weird events didn't happen to include an example of truly unconditional love in the human kingdom, though, did they?

Did they?

Did they? :!

Thought not. ;)

absolutely, but yet they do get unconditional love, despite making hideous squaking and other applaingly loud sounds and waking people up several times during the night, sometimes for no apparent reason.

Unconditional? I think not.

Have you ever tried to starve one of them, beat it up or maybe leave it lying around in its own shite for a few hours?

The little bastard will soon show you 'unconditional', believe me...

OK, in general, and ideally parents have unconditional love for their newborn infant. I can understand how the infant could drive some parents to distraction. I would probably feel differently if it was my own baby squaking all night long, but my paternal instincts have not really been awoken in me yet, which is probably for the best, all round.

More like those genes at work again, manifesting their breathless need to replicate themselves in feelings of faux-tenderness that soon evaporate.

You're not going to convince me, btw. In case you hadn't noticed. :D

Dogs are so loyal. I love that about them. It's hard to explain it to people who've never had a dog.

And yet you have a cat as your profile picture? ;) haha
hmmmm ;) I jest

Hairdye ready to come off..step in the shower..no bastard hot water..but come off it must. More than a trifle freezing and annoyed.

You just reminded me of summat I was gonna ask in Gibberings but would fit here too as it is quite annoying... Any of y'all laydeez have any idea what this recent craze for green hair is? First time I saw a lass with it I assumed the unfortunate gal had fukked up a bleaching or summat and had been forced to walk the streets with hideous, mottled green, manky-looking hair. Apparently not as I've seen at least a dozen or so girls with it just recently and this is only a (very) small town so can only presume it's a bit of a craze. Why? Is it some sleb-copying thing or what? I don't get it - it's utterly hideous :?

Quite a large number of my generation (90's born) tend to dye their hair in rather eccentric colours, it just seemed to one day become the norm.
I myself have had blue, green, red, purple, blonde, ginger, pink and black hair - and I'm male so...

Oh I know that - even us auld geezers and geezerettes did the hair dye thing - it's this specific green colour which seems to be all the rage at the moment and amongst all ages from teens up to middle-aged women. It's not just any green - it's a very specific and utterly rancid, mottled kinda green. Basically the classic witch green. Just looks vile which I know can be a "thing" for certain folk but this is all ages and they seem very mainstream kinda people so presume it's a mass-market thing not an exclusive, kewlkidz kinda thing.

I know of a few people who dye their hair in that specific shade of green as an attempt at the "Mermaid" look.
Ridiculous but...

Np, but come to think of it, I've seen a lot of green hair lately. I think it looks okay if it's done well, it's just that green fades very quickly and then looks a bit manky and crap.

Only Martians have green hair. I've never seen anyone with green hair. I am, however, a sucker for blue streaks/bits in jet black hair. Jet black female hair. If anyone wants to impress me. No? Right. Carry on.
