On a side note, I was seeing this girl years ago who's Mom looked a bit like Helen Mirren and she (the mother) turned out to be into naturism (she liked to be naked!). We all went out once to a posh, black tie dinner dance thing where we all got thrashed on free champagne and wine. Plenty women look great well into their "late middle age". And beyond actually. I've always liked older women so at my age that does mean actually quite old. Actually, I say I like older women but, being a bit of a tart, I suppose I mostly just like women. I don't really consider age until/unless it comes up and becomes an issue of some kind. If memory (and mental arithmetic) serves, Occasional Mrs Shambles was in her 40s when we got together and we were occasionals for the best part of a decade or so. And she was a bit lushy to say the least. Admittedly I am somewhat biased but she really was. Besides, it's the person I'm attracted to, anything else is very much secondary.

Thats what all sensible people say, but then again you did say she was lush. I have had relationships, or tried to have relationships with girls/women i just plainly wasnt physically attracted to and they never worked. Of course that is very shallow of me, its no good having someone you find physically attractive if there is nothing likeable about their personality.

Tbh though im too fussy and choosy for my own good, as "im not all that" paricularly as i get older and loose my youthfull good lucks which seemed to have been my trump card. Just as well i genuinely do 'like my own company' i spose though it would be nice to find a partner, there have been and still are opportunities that i have spurned which i occassionally kick myself about.

She was. Which definitely helps, obviously. What I meant was that if that was all it was nothing would've happened. Or if it did it wouldn't have continued to happen for so long. I don't really do (and certainly never plan on) one night stands so it's always the person that I go for. That's the thing though, Sammy. That is the truth. I'm well aware of how wanky it sounds - to the point that I've actually wondered if there was something... not wrong with me as such but... wrong with me. When I see/hear/read fellas talking about women I've just never been able to relate to much of it. Almost any of it, frankly. In fact it probably bothers me more than it bothers most women. Natural born nancy, me. In touch with my feminine side is all, I'm sure

(latter would appear to be the case as i've been made an "honorary woman" on two separate occasions so far. in case you're wondering, this appears to mean that i'm welcome to be part of girly nights out and the like. that and being almost permanently in the "friend zone" anyway. former being more fun than the latter. latter having just enough exceptions to make life bearable, plus i get on much better with women in pretty much any situation so more than happy with the "friend zone" thing for the most part. with occasional notable exceptions*
