Alcohol + smoking DMT (or other simple tryptamines)?

For awhile, I used to have a habit of drinking a bit, then toking on some DMT with an MAOI (changa). The alcohol took the anxious edge off nicely, and I had some pretty interesting experiences, but none of them ever seemed to be genuinely life-changing or extremely useful. Then again, I wonder, when has smoked DMT been anything more than just an extremely bizarre and confusing trip? Hm.

A friend told me a couple of days ago that he also prefers to drink booze before entering hyperspace. He claims the experience gets more intense. I can't say that's true for me though.

Nah I find the intoxicating component to obscure the beautifully truthful psychedelia DMT produces. Yes one or two beers takes the edge off anxiety but that's about it. I feel even much more morally scrupulous on DMT than I feel on something like LSD. On LSD I feel like it is a bit wrong but like the acid is not pushy enough to disallow it.

DMT both demands and bestows a sense of purity in my opinion, and I think that is directly related to the healing potential. Mushrooms are similar for me but much more ruthless and not as understanding.

Entirely hedonistic or recreational DMT use is probably different from emphatically respectful use, I am not in a position to judge it but I couldn't see myself doing that and I don't feel well about the abusive quality of it even though I am known to abuse a lot of other substances now and then. For a person who has no issues with it, either morally or experientially... I guess a lot of the faux-pas doesn't apply.

Since alcohol is an entirely non spiritual substance, I find it interferes with my DMT and other psychedelic trips.
Something like LSD it can make way more fun say if you're with your friends, but not in an introspective meaningful way
I relate this to the feeling of doing cocaine on psychedelics, it just feels like it infects the trip and infects your mind. Such a gross feeling

Think most drugs I've taken have been mixed with booze at some point.

No sure it's great idea. Booze means you're less likely to remember all the beautiful details
