how was everyone's thanksgiving?

Mine was pretty good a shit ton of food was eaten, my family goes so hard with food on holidays we had a ham, a turkey, a fried turkey, pulled pork, lobster mac n cheese and then of course all the other common sides. I feel a little bad for being high the whole time and going to the bathroom every once and a while and snorting a bag or two but atleast i didnt get totally junked out. No one could tell i was high so everythings good, they wouldnt have liked me if i was withdrawaling.

I have been dope sick for a few holiday dinners and that sucks bad. I would rather be too high. Thankfully I have always had something to keep me well and I haven't over did it at a holiday in many many years.

not a single post all weekend? YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES!

Things have been bad at weldermans house. Woman troubles that I knew were coming but when you bottle everything up for a few years it makes me miserable. I don't really want to put any of it on here maybe I'll start a post in slr, but I think I'm gonna make a big change in my life. If I go walkabout I'll be coming to a city near you.

(Shelby County) School board member David Pickler confirmed that an outside audit shows $48.4 million worth of equipment is missing from Shelby County Schools.
The audit, which was conducted from June to October of this year, broke down the numbers by legacy Shelby County and former Memphis City schools.
There were about 10,000 pieces of equipment missing from legacy Shelby County schools out of 56,290 assets reported, and about 44,000 out of 189,049 pieces missing from former Memphis City schools.
All told, 54,272 pieces of equipment are missing.
The audit also revealed 32,409 pieces of equipment that weren’t included in the original list of assets provided by the school district.
The asset numbers above do not include real estate items, like A/C units, flooring, etc. These were used in a secondary database.
Items like laptops and computers, among others, are missing.
The audit includes some reasons an item might be considered missing.
For instance, an item might have been listed in one location not yet inventoried, but moved during the course of the audit to a new location that had already been inventoried.
Damaged assets may also have been thrown away without documentation of that.
Some items are listed as both missing and new, because of inconsistencies or other issues with their ID numbers.
The company that completed the audit, ProBar Associates, included in the audit that, “Given the size and dynamic nature of the Shelby County District, higher loss rates are not unexpected.”

dude i dont care what your "reasons" are. there is no valid reason that 48 million dollars worth of equipment comes up missing in a school system like ours. its not a big school system at all...how the fuck do you lose $48mil worth of shit?

i dont get it? are you coming down south?

It is just a figure of speech. If I ever do what I really want to in this shitty world I'm actually going to see the country. Maybe stop in and say hi to my fellow degenerate junkies when I'm in your town.

That's a lot of shit to be missing. It sounds like they have a big paperwork problem and people are stealing a lot of shit. Yikes!

These next couple of weeks are going to be madness. I've been working off-site quite a bit this week and then it's off to South Carolina next week. I'm bringing an extra big suitcase so I can Christmas shop while I'm traveling for work next week. All of my Christmas decorations went up last weekend so my house is nice and festive...none of the animals have broken anything or knocked anything over yet so that's good :)

i would love to have a job that includes traveling

^That would be nice, tends to be those jobs are well paying, too.

I have a buddy who use to travel for work. I don't know if he does much anymore, but when he did it payed really good. He did say he busts his ass for the time out there, though. At 1 point it was all he did, but it was like an every other month thing for a couple weeks. So it wasn't steady work, now he is full time but not sure if he still does the travel trips (its same co.). Still he made like 6 weeks pay in 1-2 weeks so he was living off just that, plus they pay all expenses and give some unreasonably high allowance for food, like $50 a day.

He's also an oxy addict so he has ran into a few tough situations when away for work. He'd usually have his gf overnight him some more if he ran out, hidden in some electrical device she put in a package. Other times he had to make the things stretch or ended up sick a few days....sounds awful to be traveling for work and suffering w/d. I guess the trips were not set in length, he was out there until the job was finished.

It has it's moments....but the buildings I audit aren't always in nice areas so it can be really sketchy. I have seen a lot of the country because of my job though. It's not uncommon for me to put in 15 hour days when I'm traveling either, I have to keep up on all my stuff I am responsible for at my office as well.

Man, would I love to have a traveling career... How does one get started? Other than the obvious CDL trucking crap?

fucking wrecked my car this morning. was on my way to work and this group of mexicans that had rather large trailer neglected to connect the wires that tell you when they are stopping or turning since you cant see the lights from the car. well they are taking a left and tthe light was green, before i realized this i had smacked into the back of their trailer. airbags were deployed and my lights and grill got fucked up but my car is still drive able i just have to get the lights fixed. what a horrible start to the day.

it is also supposed to start icing/snowing by the time i get out of work today

I'm a regulatory compliance auditor. My friend helped get me into this kind of work.

Damn Memphis!!! I'm glad it was only your car that got fucked up and that you weren't injured as well. <3

me too. my neck was pretty sore this morning and i have a bruise across my chest from the seat belt but it could have turned out a lot worse! it is currently 29 degree here right now. the high today was 34, the low is 14 so we are in for a cold night. i work 9 hours at the restaurant today but something tells me no one is going to be getting out today in this shit so chances are I will be going home early. it is also sleeting/snowing out atm

if memphis drivers SEE one snow flake they will freak the fuck out. they have no idea how to drive already so throw some snow into the mix and you have got one shitty situation on your hands

I miss driving a rear wheel drive vehicle in the snow. The fun my friends and I would have getting drunk and driving like a lunatic. One if the back roads we would see who could drive sideways the longest. Went into many ditches that way but we always had a truck with us to pull us out. Good times

If there's even a 10% chance of snow here then my entire town will shutdown because no one knows how to drive in it. I would estimate that it snows here once every 20 years. Hell, it was 80 degrees yesterday afternoon.
