Coroner calls for 'legal high' ban after death of Swindon man

if it is banned it will be tweaked & back out on vendors sites in 3 weeks like everything.
Not likely, it's sort of a loophole that means the tryptamine catch-all clause doesn't cover it, it would only take a slight alteration of one of the clauses to cover this as well and make it class A, as AET and pretty much all other TiHKAL drugs are.

That shady middle eastern guy will be getting busy on his blackboard drawing pictures of molecules and moving atoms around. It was on one of those legal high programs, not sure if it was the same one that Baxter was in, but he made it sound so fucking easy, his safe room was chocablock full of RCs, and he openly said he was earning a fortune doing what he was doing.

I dont think its quite as easy as that... of the hundreds if not thousands he creates probably only a handful are of any use or even fit for human consumption/ worth making and taking... as the creator of mephedrone though you would have to be pretty rich.

if you have the knowledge it is as easy as that, you're right though about however many thousands of chemicals its possible to create its not so easy to create something as good as mephedrone. Theres been dozens of shit ones following in its wake. I mean inventing chemicals seems to be easy, inventing good ones is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. I obviously know FA about chemistry, but that was the impresssion the program gave.

Was it him that created mephedrone ?

im sure that was dripping with sacrcasm king me. You know fuckin bee stings or weird allergies kill more people that this one person that has died. Obviously its terribly sad for everyone who knew him, he might just have been allergic to it ? What does it feel like to people that have taken it ? Dirty and nasty, or clean heavenly bliss ?

yup, i was being sarcastic of course.
it actually very rare that ive seen people reporting allergies to rcs... not saying that there arent any, but you dont see them reported as often. also, when people die because of an allergic reaction, the symptoms are different... as in, you can die of allergy to nuts or eggs, but the way the body gets there is the same regardless of what you ingested that you are alergic to. so its quite possible the coroner knew it was the amt and not an allergy...

to me, amt is more hit than miss, but its a tricky one to play with ill give it that. its long lasting, but at the same time the potential for things to go downhill keeps one away from overusing...

monsta, slightly off topic, what liquid do you dissolve your aMT in?
I cannot remember the name of it - I've just tried looking it up - But I got it from a mate in those small brown bottles with a dropper and it was a strangely sweet tasting substance...

It might have been Propylene Glycol perhaps (is aMT soluble in that?).
I know it is used as a solvent and looking now on wookipedia it's noted to have a faintly sweet taste).

Yeah, that sounds just like propylene glycol to me. Easily available on popular auction sites, and places that sell e-cig liquid. I was able to get some from my local e-cig shop, with a dropper bottle chucked in, when I needed it that day. A very decent solvent, which tastes alright. It's used in pretty much all medicinal syrups, and even injectable ampoules.

I never heard of any aMT fatalities, until fairly recently. It's an incredibly useful antidepressant, in lower doses (5-10mg), and a fun/trippy stimulant, in higher doses. Whoever pressed those pills must have crammed them full of the stuff. Taken responsibly, it's pretty benign, and usually has an afterglow lasting for days. I suppose there's no way of knowing what sort of quality the stuff being sold currently is. It's a shame, because it can be lovely stuff. Like a speedy/trippy MDMA. Not had the stuff for years, but would certainly like to do it again, and introduce a few mates to it.

RIP aMT my lovely :(
While it's fairly safe stuff, I know people who have bought amt in a headshop and spent days redosing, getting through 250mg+ in 2 days which is just ridiculously unnecessary.

I got some freebase this week. never had it before but i think i should like this one! on a serious note, condolences to the friends and family of that lad and lets hope it isn't banned to be replaced by an even more mysterious/dangerous chemical.

For once i am well behind the Law aMT damn near killed me & i am a very experienced Drug User . It is a very unpredictable substance & the Hospitals n Paramedics have no clue about it so if you end up in trouble with it then you are fuked.

I was lucky to get away with an abscess the size of a Golf ball on my Fem ( from the nurses not putting in a central line as i have no surface veins ) , i had to discharge myself from the bloody Hospital & i think had i not i may have died or at the very least lost my leg .

Because i am a registered Addict they presumed i was Oding on H so gave me narcan which put me in WDS straight away , imagine that on top of the aMT effects that had already started a Psychotic episode .

Any one still mourning the stuff , i advise u to tread very careful as this is deadly . Much more so than Opiates

ED

the stuff i had was supposed to be proper and i know it had been used by another person without the same effects as i had , i didn't dose stupidly uesd mg scales the whole lot it just obviously did not agree with the make up of my Brain .

I appreciate you had a nightmarish time on the stuff, but had it not been for your opiate addiction (and the action that the emergency services took because of that addiction) then it wouldn't have ended nearly as badly as it did.

The stuff's not for everyone, as you rightly point out. People can (and do) freak out, as they can with any psychedelic drug.

But more deadly than opiates?

Yes i would say , when you get in trouble with Opiates the Nurses n Medics know exactly what 2 do with these type of things they have no idea & will probably not even know what it is .

You can't even fukin blame em either it;s not there job to study legal highs.

I get what you're saying - opiate overdoses are something that medical professionals are experienced in.

But it's not really aMT's fault that you had an experience so distressing that you had to call emergency services, is it? You should always have informed company when you're using a new psychedelic. No matter how experienced you are with other drugs.

Fucking horrible experience you had though, that's for sure.

I take responsibilty for all my actions but i am just telling it like it is , it wasn't me that called them either it was somebody that loves me & didn't have any other option as they were very distressed .

As you know i have taken some of the most so called deadly Opiates at high doses & Benzo's like folk wouldn't believe & never gone over apart from suicide attempts .

i Take this once & well i nearly die , i think that makes it a very dangerous compound . I will never believe that it is a safe drug .

May as well get the fent out n bosh a load of blues you would have a better chance of surving if something went wrong .
