Why shouldn't I plug Lorazepam?

I apologies about making a new thread for a simple question, but I'm going to be doing this real soon and I need a pretty quick answer for this. Why shouldn't I plug Lorazepam (Ativan) ? I hear very conflicting information about it all over the internet. Some people say it's amazing, some say it's a waste of time. Does anyone have information about this? I'm going to be plugging 4MG's or maybe 6MG's haven't decided yet.

Is Lorazepam not absorbed in the bowels? would it be a waste of drugs if I did this? thanks everyone.
 
You need the proper solvent for this to be feasible...

The reason is it is not very soluble in the most abundant solvent water... This makes administration difficult...

Most people do not take the time to properly prepare them...


It needs to be made into a liquid that is not harmful but can be absorbed by the bowels.

Look at valium for instance. They been shoving that for years... it is effective.

So putting the pills up my ass would waste them?

So would that ethanol/methanol solut.......fuck that's right. Methanol is poisonous......

You got that right... That almost ended very badly...

PEG is good for this. small amounts are good to use... Large amounts will cause you to expell the liquid.

A minute amount of ethanol will not harm anything with ample water...

I can't buy vodka or alcoholic drinks. However, at the pharmacy near my house, they sell ethanol in big jugs. However it's denatured with Acetone. I'm assuming this wouldn't be good either? The ratio is 75% ethanol 25% Acetone.

Also, I tried the Lorazepam plugging by just dissolving the pill in 4mL of water and 4mL of milk. I'm pretty sure it feels better than oral administration. However, I can't tell if that's placebo or not yet. It's onset is noticeably faster however.

On a concerning side note, after the Lorazepam administration, I notice rectal bleeding. Does that just mean I tore my rectum but I should be okay? Or is this something I should be more concerned about. Also there is a very slight pain in my testicles. It's minor but it's definetly there. Should I be concerned about this either?

Do not use the denature version...

Also, When you see rectal bleeding it is a sign of trauma.

Are you using proper lubrication?

Also, I would wait and heal up first before going again.

I think I need a better syringe is what the problem is. The one I'm using which is meant for childrens medicine was not rounded on the edges like they usually are. So that's sort of unpleasant. I'll probably get a proper, rectal dropper when I'm out next time.

Also, I should ask, how far should I be sticking the syringe up my rectum? Now that I think about it, I may be putting in more than I need to. I've been inserting the syringe into my rectum about this far.

Only up to the tiny point...

Buy a dispensing needle to use if you feel you need to go deeper.

14 gauge dispensing needles are pretty cheap online and make rectal use a snap and less uncomfortable as it is a thinner object as opposed to the end of an oral syringe...
 
So I happened to get some isopropanol while I was out. It's 91% Isopropyl Alcohol, and 8% water. I know Lorazepam is more soluble in alcohols, but would it be safe for me to plug isopropanol? Obviously, a lot wouldn't be that safe, but I'm thinking if it's an incredibly small amount 1mL or less and then dilute it with another 9mL's of water, would that be alright?

Also, Lorazepam is even more lipid soluble than alcohol. Could I use vegetable oil? Or castor oil? What's your thoughts on that?
 
IPA is metabolised into acetone, so a little bit is fine. You'll probably crash the lorazepam out of the solution if you dilute it with 9 volumes of water.
 
I highly not recommend iso-alcohol...

That will be about as irritating as ethanol.

You need to dilute it majorly in order to get it to work safely.

Look at the solubilities of lorazepam in iso. this will give you a estimate of iso to use.

Dilute then squirt... you shouldn't need over a ml of iso. and please use more than enough water.

PM me for measurements so we can sort this out.

Proper prep is indeed needed.


You cannot plug straight iso into your ass...
 
Not sure if the same goes for lorazepam but with clonazepam it can be dissolved in milk, cream (think coffee creamers) and plugged. My understanding is that lipids are absorbed rectally. I tried it and it worked perfectly fine, as I was out cold. That was with 8 mg of clonazepam.

There are dosage forms that can only be taken rectally, if something works better for you if plugged, I see no loss of dignity for doing so. Please say something helpful to the topic and pass on the judgmental banter.

Plugging just seems to do it for me. I don't why. It just does.
