Your favourite films ?

Some great movies being mentioned :) - going to have to revisit a few of them.

I didn't really enjoy 28 weeks later, didn't like the way the guy was after his kids. It didn't make 'sense' unless he was just really fkd off with his kids?

Ive been beaten to it but Das Boot is my all time number one fav film.
3hr.20mins in german 5.1 with english subtitles best war film ever totally immersive.

scarface (1932) prob my second favourite. Of course i like the pacino scarface but prefer the original tough guys swagger.

Godfather one and two.
The exorcist.
Romper stomper.
French connection one and two.
Altered states.
The public enemy (1931)
Hellraiser 2 hellbound
Evil dead
Goldfinger.
The living daylights.

Agree with a lot of the classics people have posted so tried not to repeat the same.

The one with stories all interwoven together and to do with different races of people.

yeah brilliant and moving film.

Aftershock ... haunting beauty and compassion. About an earthquake in China and its aftermath. An extremely powerfully moving brilliant film. Its a masterpiece, but not very well known. Maybe one of the most moving films i have ever seen. Not one of those mere moist eye single tear drops, fuckin gut wrenching sobs, like at the end of Requiem. This is in my top 3 id say, but cba to re-order the list. Btw do not automatically conclude that ive spolit it and that it has a tragic ending like Requiem. That would be a mistake.

Book Of Eli is great too, as is Shallow Hal.

127 hours and Babel in particular is an exceptionally brilliant film. Im going through my Lovefilm list a bit now to jog my memory, just listing the ones ive rated with 5 stars. The Hostel films are awesome too. The Cinderalla Man is also exceptionally good. Nothing less will do for my EADD peers.

Bad Lieutenant is also very good, both the original with harvey keitel and the remake with nicholas cage. Cage doesnt get the teenage girls to close their eyes and open their mouths and stick their tongue out so he can jerk off on their car like harvey keitel does, but he is still a pretty sick and bad man.

The Machinist is also well worth watching.

Taxi Driver should also be mentioned of course. An all-time classic. As is Midnight Express.

I Am Legend and The King's Speech, Million Dollar Baby, Taken, Notes on a scandal, Dark Water, Geoffry Rush as the insane concert pianist in Shine are also extremely good. I love the scene where he shambles into a resteraunt and a diner makes some snide, disrespectful and ignorant put down, hes soon made to eat his words when the pianists genius becomes apparent. That is one of my favourite scenes out of any film.

Mike Leigh's Naked is wonderful David Thewlis as a down and out working class ranting genius, having philosophical arguments with a security guards amongst many other great scenes in the film. This is by far Leigh's best film. There's lots of sex in the film.

Im trying to remember the name of the film about the female reporter who takes on the IRA, such a good film, Veronica Guerin its called. Absolutely stunning film. Based on a true story i believe.

The Butterfly Effect. Amazing filum.

Anyone might think i dont do anything except take drugs, post on bluelight, watch films and tv and listen to music. They wouldnt be far wrong. :\

I have loads but I forgot to add....

Until the Light Takes Us.
Requiem for a dream
Enter the void
Irréversible (looks at Bearlove & Pagey with a worried look on my face) Le temps détruit tout
Man bites dog

irreversesible is that the extremely violent film with the rape scene in the underpass ?
;)
The Rectum is one club I never want to end up in :(

I watched it with the ex, she walked out half way through in horror, personally I stayed with it as I found the whole thing a kind of visual assault on the brain & fell in love with Gaspar Noé films, Led me to watch his work Enter The Void which alongside The Holy Mountian I think are the best films ever made.

She asked me what I wanted to watch, I never had any idea it was that bad.
You live & learn I guess =D

Also Kon-Tiki needs to be added.

Kon-Tiki was the raft used by Norwegian explorer and writer Thor Heyerdahl in his 1947 expedition across the Pacific Ocean from South America to the Polynesian islands.

For pure B movie trash Gay niggers from outer space should be added also, proper ROFLMAO film.

You can watch it on Youtube :)

PLANET TERROR. A tongue in cheek but insanely brilliant film.

Maverick director Robert Rodriguez's take on the zombie infestation genre. In a plot-line that may seem familiar, government scientists at a remote Texan facility, have managed to unleash a deadly virus that turns normal, healthy citizens into raving, murdering mutants. With the hordes of crazed psychotics multiplying at an unstoppable rate, it's a spatterfest all the way as go-go-dancer Cherry Darling (Rose McGowan), mysterious drifter El Wray (Freddy Rodriguez), and professional smuggler Abby (Naveen Andrews) have to force an escape route to a helicopter that is their only chance of escape. 'Planet Terror' was originally released in the cinema as a Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino's two-film feature with 'Death Proof', under the title 'Grindhouse'.

thank fuck for that, I've got through eight cornettos and twice as many choc ices in the last four days.

=D

Only gotta learn your Hagakure off by heart, master Jeet Kune Do & live on a roof covered with pigeons now Knock.
You could scrap the BL points system & just go round using a silenced Pistol to dish out BL mod justice.
