I have seen this thread done on other forums. It eventually ended up looking just like any other list of favourite films. I wonder if EADDs selection will be different. These are my top 22, that i can currently recall, and the order may be subject to change. I could have gone on to do a top 50 but that may put people off. Id be surprised if we dont see the same films popping up again and again, but there's bound to be a few nominations that i havent even heard of.

1. One Flew Over The cuckoos nest
2. Requiem For A Dream.
3. The Shining.
4. Gladiator.
5. House Of Sand And Fog.
6. Man On Fire.
7. Jaws.
8. Animal Kingdom
9. In America.
10. Sin Nombre.
11. The Pianist.
12. Avatar.
13. The Last King Of Scotland.
14. Eastern Promises.
15. A History Of Violence.

17. The Grudge.

das boot? nice choice there dr.robert

godfather parts one and two. goodfellas is like the cheap, nasty, desert wine to the godfathers vintage merlot. or the nasty skank, back-alley slut with four kids swinging from her teats to the fresh faced, smooth skinned, innocent young flower prime for your corruption

Good Johan. I loved the way the captain kept saying that in Das Boot. I forgot 28 days later, and 28 weeks later, pans' labyrinth, the green mile, american history x, shawshank rdemption, Fight Club, Lock, stock & 2 smoking barrels, the boy in the striped pyjamas, silence of the lambs. All great films. I'll have to check out the ones listed that ive not seen.

K-Pax was great on first viewing. American beauty was good too. Also Rabid, and The Dead Zone by David Cronenberg. I liked most of his work until he seemed to loose his style, or change direction recently.

House of sand and fog doesnt seem to be getting many mentions. It really is a fuckin brilliant film, ben kinglsey and jennifer connelly star in it for a start.

What was tha film with Ben Kingsley and Ray 'Fakin' Winstone, where Ray is an ex pat in spain, and that huge boulder comes rolling down the mountain into his swimming pool ? I cant see it listed on imdb :sus: That was a good 'un too.

You know we really are lucky that so many fuckin brilliant films have been produced recently. They've come such a long way. Still a fair few made for TV turkeys though.

cool hand luke is a good old fashioned proper movie isnt it. Still famous for the car wash scene. "Oh Man, she doesnt know what she's doing." "Nah, she knows exactly what she's doing." lol. I didnt manage to enjoy Ungorgiven, and havent seen many of the other films you mention. What time is it over there in Oz now ? Are you west coast, east, ? I have family in Perth.

Is there a Das Boot film? Watched the series back in the 80s, was excellent.

I'll have to think about my list.
