Aint a fan of country & western myself but Dolly Parton is great.
Her track Jolene is a stone cold classic, the white stripes cover is also damn good too.

Absoluetely, brilliant track. The melody, her voice, the guitars. I think its red hot rather than stone cold though :p:) Maybe stone cold means something different in your part of the UK. Im not really a C & w fan either, but i like the odd track, and the odd artist, Ted Hawkins and John Hiatt did some good stuff. Johnny Cash ofourse transcends the C & w label. He is bigger than C & W and is a genre all of his own. I may be talking crap now.

So much for me keeping my party prescrptions for the weekends to replace expensive booze. Nevermind am feeling good so far

I've noticed this too, there don't seem many that are into downers, OP8's etc in the same league as people doing stims.
Don't see people on mxe 3-4 day runs, drinking heavy spirits on top of Quetiapine etc.

Personally for me I hate stims in nearly every form, last one I tried was 2-FA & didn't rate it, before that it had been months ago & it was a smoke of peeve.
Just the idea of doing loads of Pirate etc a few times a week makes me feel sick, how anyone does it is beyond me.

A lot of that's to do with the nature of the drugs in question - you're far less likely to be bothered with BL if you're on downers, whereas people can type shit for hours when they're stimmed.

I know I used to be fond of coming on here under the influence of benzos and Jim Beam. Not the best idea.

Don't you find that it balances you out?
Maybe it's just me but stims send me into a kind of stoned state in a way, like I am going way to fast to do anything, for some reason downers, smack, mxe etc balance me out & I can do alot more on them than off them.
Smack actually makes me feel social & I want to go do stuff, when sober I just shut myself away & say fuck the world.

If I had a load of pirate I would just sit in the chair being a tweaked out mess & get nothing done, maybe I am strange in that way but it works for me that's all I can say.

i was too fucked to post during my 3day mxe binge the other week, i was in and out of consciousness for the duration. I certainly overdid the etiz on that occasion. Well i tried to make a couple of posts but it seemed to take about an hour to type 4 words, the words were appearing in a freaky perspective, like some lines were infront of others, literally coming out of the screen towardss me, most peculiar as with all things MXE, anyway i gave up on trying to communicate through BL whilst in that state.
 
3day mxe.... jesus christ. a night of that stuff is batshit crazy at times
