I think it's wrong to think of philosophy as something you study at school/university, it should be the very essence of life. We are beings of understanding, it's what we do when we're not sleeping :)

specialist topics only make sense when they fit unto a general framework of life, the universe and everything. It's not a choice between generalism and specialism, you have to do both. That's the human condition!

And what a cheek you have to suggest that I, Pagey, Marmalade and France have only a "smattering" of basic facts :D I think you'll find I have a fairly detailed knowledge of my specialism, computers, and more than a "smattering of basic facts" about other stuff! cheeky bugger =D I'm sure Pagey, Marmz and France have a similar renaissance outlook %) :p

thats not what i meant at all, i was talking about my Dad ! And i was being harshly critical of him too, in truth he is like me, in that he has a range of special interests, but hes one of those annoying people that is forever wanting to know everything about everything. As an example, he has absolutely no interest in the sport Rugby and was most angry with himself when someone asked him what the difference was between rugby union and rugy league, and he didnt have a clue. Im not interested either but i dont give a shit, its not important to me. I stay out of conversations about Rugby.

I wouldnt dream of saying such a thing about you 3, or anyone else on here, unless they had particularly upset me.That has been a rarity of late. Im not sure if you were winding me up with that,or trying to soften the blow with the smileys. :?

Yeah of course you have to do both, its no good being the worlds pre eminent nuclear physicist if you dont know how to check the oil level in your car. The only problem with EADD is with not knowing what state of intoxication the other person is in, i was gone by the time i left, but you seemed to be clicking right back into gear.

Ha, well I misread your post. But regardless, I took the misreading in good humour ;) and I replied in good humour. The smilies are valid as I was smiling while I wrote the post.

The thing with GBL is you're completely fucked for a period of time, the duration of which is dependent on your skill at not overdosing into knock-out territory; so for me that's about an hour :) then you KO (or maybe you just stop dosing) and are very quickly completely straight again like nothing ever happened. So me "clicking right back into gear" was just me coming to from a GBL KO ;)

Mate brought the Adderall over from the States. Quite lush I must say, even for an old speed freak like me (been off the fast a long time now though)

Wish i could take gbl but it fucks my stomach up. GHB doesn't though, but it's tricky to source

No don't be silly there are ways of doing things like this n it requires research n a good bit of psychology .
