Erm... what exactly prompted that?

I'm just answering MDB's post. Sorry if that upsets you, but I don't think it has anything to do with any (alleged) 'negative comments about women' I may have made, ironic or otherwise.

Are you on drugs?
i was referring to your comments on brands words. dont excuse your opinion via utilising MDB

My comments on Brand's words were a response to MDB's post. I'm certainly not 'excusing' myself by 'utilising' MDB. Don't be ludicrous.

All I did was highlight one comment of his which has (rightly IMO) sparked some debate. I had no idea you would take exception in this way.

For fuck's sake, lighten up will you? What have I done to get on your shitlist today?

Forget about everything else said, to keep it concise, and just focus on this bit, to make things easier to try to understand my point

I don't think it's his womanising that's the issue, but some of the oafish comments he makes. Such as his recent “When I was asked to edit an issue of the New Statesman I said yes because it was a beautiful woman asking me.” faux pas. What a bozo.

Fucking LOL, coming from the EADDs number 1 abuser of the term 'irony' to pacify all his negative comments about women. ^ ...

amazing really

Which I responded to in post #16.

Am I not allowed to call Brand a 'bozo' without you attempting some kind of cack-handed character slur?

Is that how childish we've become?

Good on you Dan. Kinda seen it coming with the way you've been speaking about your job lately but it takes bottle to walk out. You're certainly not pathetic.

I couldn't agree more, I have been getting the feeling your were going to leave there at some point in the near future. It's just sad when it happens like that :\

Will you be working a notice or did you just fuck em off totally?

And good luck to your sir, a very hard-working young man like yourself deserves a good job, and one where he is happy.

Dan, regarding your benefits should it come to this, as you quit you will not be entitled to claim normal JSA for quite some time.

However, what no one tells you is that you can claim "contribution based JSA" this is based on your national insurance contributions over the last 2 years, regardless of any savings you might have. Im not sure if you can claim this immediately. I was very ill when i quit my job in Feb so couldnt deal with something as simple as that for quite some time. Get down to the CAB if you think you may be out of work for some time. £71 a week is better than nothing. Though it'll obviously be a massive reduction in your disposable income if your out of work for a while.

Are there any local agencies that you can sign up with for contract work? It's not like it's a job that just anyone can do.. can't imagine it'd be that difficult to get work.

Massive respect though - I even polished my resignation letter months ago but am trying to save up for a few months before I quit. Blah.

i didnt bother to polish mine, it was a warts n all letter, i have enjoyed some of my time here but feel it is time to leave. Was pretty much all i said. They later wrote to me asking if id like to be considered for any future vacancies they may have. I replied "at least not for a couple of years" lol. It seems they were willing to overlook my 'meltdown' at the end of my time there, my previous steady record must have stood me in good stead.

Happy 5th November everyone, where is Guy Fawkes when you really need him I wonder?

Oh shit. I forgot about fireworks. A whole evening spent listening to people's fireworks? Lovely. 8)

I might go out, gatecrash a bonfire and proceed to drunkenly rant about anti-Catholic prejudice until they throw me on top of the fire. I'd give it half an hour or so.

Take videos/post photos. I'll be another one sat being irate at fireworks cos there's a big party going down near my parents' place. Always is, but I'll be in bed early today I think.

Or might sit and watch em from the back garden.

But probably not :D Going to finish off yesterday's codeine, play some games, do some reading, hope my pork chop defrosts in time for dinner and that's me for the day. Life has got markedly less exciting since I moved back here.

Local pub has a fireworks thing on, so may join some friends there. Will make sure I avoid any drunken ranters, though. :)

Moreso when I can probably get away with smoking a joint outside the pub, yep.

Will be hibernating if it rains, though.

Watching the select committee talk to these coppers in that whole 'Plebgate' fiasco is hilarious. And sort of awkward.
