Where are the firearms at?

Money's really good as an exchangable medium of value though. Imagine if you grew celery, Dan. Your meph dealer doesn't want celery, he wants eggs. The guy with the eggs doesn't want celery either, he wants chorizo. It would be a lot easier if you could sell the celery for money, then spend the money on meph, no?

Of course. But the bigger picture is... Money fucks everything up. One point that sticks in my mind is we have the tech to run this planet self sustainable, but we dont do that because theres no profit in it. Thus we fuck up the environment, etc. Obviously once thats fucked then everything is fucked and kiss goodbye. population control is another thing that should be addressed

But in my drug store the meph is free!* Keep your celery!

(*but use is monitored by the community and if you're going overboard someone will have a word with you; access may be suspended if you're found to be endangering yourself)

So I can do whatever job I want and have as many drugs as I like? I am not going to be very productive.

We may be conditioned to want rewards, but rewards can be attained through vastly different ways, depending on the individual

Also, we often want those rewards as a trade off for doing something we consider to be hard labour, in an area we fucking hate, in a job that sucks, so reward is largely required at present as a trade off for that. If you can take the 'i hate my job' aspect out of the equation, and people are encouraged to do jobs they actually have the natural aptitude for, or have a general interest in that particular sector (motor trade, environmental work, whatever ) , the notion of being rewarded doesn't hinge on money so much, and becomes more about not hating your surroundings and actively getting more intrinsic enjoyment out of your average day.

There's a huge amount of satisfaction to be had from knowing youre great at doing something someone else can't do so well, or from just working for a business that fits your political/ethical opinions etc

True.

Jeezo, dunno what's wrong with me tonight. Although I'm being a bit argumentaive for the sake of debate I'm not the usual "You're talking pish I'm right you're wrong", trying to come at this more openminded and willing to understand your views and change my own, I think if I'm going to try and talk this shit to other people, which will no doubt happen as I'm planning a few swedgers on saturday lol, I need to understand it a bit better. I do genuinely find this interesting.

But I will probably just get fed up and "Did ye, aye?" shortly. Got to live up the what's expected of me.

So I can do whatever job I want and have as many drugs as I like? I am not going to be very productive.

If something like this is going to work then people just have to pull their weight as much as possible. Would take some massive shifts in society and attitudes, but it's not impossible. Might be a far way off but that's no reason to not try.

The arguments are totally rational/logical. Not perfect but definitely better than what we have just now. The cynical part of me thinks it can never happen, but history has proved me wrong on these sorts of things. It is possible, however slim a chance that is, and there's no reason not to try.

Where to I sign up for the Knockando Workers Party?

Edit - I would genuinely like to know if there's anything I can do as an individual. Not saying I will, lazy bastard and that, but I complain about our current system with a BURN IT ALL DOWN attitutude and would to figure out proper ways to at least attempt to make a small difference, even if it's just convincing other people that this is, possibly, a better alternative,

Sign me up for the knockando workers party also, i like what this thread has turned into, really interesting (though i have nothing of value to add, i'm one of those lurk and learn types)

It's a times like this I almost miss Bluntsie .. but not, since he would have side tracked the last few pages with a fuckton of utter negative nonsense about history dictating that it wouldn't work

[edit]
for someone who claimed to come out as 'inventor' in his meyers briggs bible, he sure seemed to posses a distinct lack of ingenuity

I've got deep into mad debates about this stuff while chinged out my head. Reasonably intelligent conversations, particularly because the boy I got ching off back then it was fairly good stuff, was quite into this sort of chat, pretty intelligent dude, so ideal for getting into big debates even if we had totally opposing views. I'd buy an 8th off him, then we'd go somewhere for sniff, sometimes just parked up a backroadd, tan all my ching then he'd just whipping out a quarter a time and smashing the lot onto a CD case. Would sit for hours putting the world to rights until the sun came up and we realise we'd better get up the road and get ready for work. Good times.

I did one of those Myers Briggs things at work the other week. It doesn't give you an answer of "Inventor" though. It gives you a personality type or a preferences type or whatever.

Dunno how much you now about it. Mine came out as INTP, which is:

Extraversion - Introversion
Sensing - Intuition
Thinking - Feeling
Judging - Perceiving

Is that the same thing. It says its a 'Myers-Briggs Type Indicator'.

Anyone else ever done one?
