Last NYE I spent in the desert with the BF, lit a bonfire and chilled out listening to music. Was great as more people arrived fires started to spring up around the place.

I could cope with that, definitely. Sounds amazing.

Wouldn't quite work in Withington though - an arson charge and the drunk tank at best. :D

Sammy G - You liked your long sleep at the weekend, you liked the fact that you didn't want to murder anyone after the bus journey - I can name two :) surely there have been more the last few days.

Yeah, I'm just playing the curmudgeon again. I've had a good week compared with the last couple. To say the least!

Yeah we spent about 20£ on the night out - that included drinks and food :D. Bollocks with paying to get into bars, paying three times the price for clubs, hotels, having to get dressed up.

Very jealous, not being nosey but what part of the earth were you at to be in a desert, I get the feeling it may be the USA.
That sounds so picturesque & great.

The closest thing to that round by me would be some joy riders burning out a Corsa & a load of chav's coming round to watch it, don't have the same scenic appeal sadly.

The fat horse - are you talking about a horse or your mum? Could not handle mushrooms and family though - It would kill me. MDMA at grandparents was a laugh, sitting engrossed listening to their old stories when rubbing your legs and sweating etc :D

Hahaha, an actual horse, sadly :D I could only handle drugs with my Mum's side of the family and my Dad and sister. MDMA and stories sounds pretty fun, can't imagine doing it meself tho, would just be sat with my eyes rolling round and talking bollocks =D Mushrooms with family was great but only because I kept to myself for most of it and just spent the odd ten or fifteen minutes here and there with them. A worrying amount of the time was spent playing LittleBigPlanet and singing along to the FF7 soundtrack (which, notably, does not have lyrics)

Was the Middle East :) - (still picturesque though - well as a empty desert can be :D).

@Snolly Sorry to hear about your horse, hope it gets better. MDMA and listening to your grandparents recite old stories (the same ones they repeat every time they get started) was fun. I was edge of the sofa, deeply involved in the story :D - beauty with them was, if they had 'company' they would have a drink :D. (anyone that called around was company though) - get them started on the old storied and it was just great fun.

anyone else keep getting this message ?

Only if Goat knew the truth
I would have throught the time with Jordane when he was going down past Thorns towards the Island at 80mph on that death trap bike would have been more scary tbh but you had a few close calls.

He still goes on about the time I flipped his bike on the Industrial estate by the old warehouse, we should have pushed him off that hill in the boot of the car when we had the chance.

haha, indeed. re jordane, id forgot about that. but yeah, that was weird too... he wasn't slowing down and i only had that helmet on for show - it had no padding inside or chin strap, wouldve probably flown off my head had we come off. if that battery cable hadnt of come loose that very second, i truly believe we'd be dead. he didn't seem to understand the danger (and you know im not opposed to doing dumb shit on bikes - what with the anchor hill days and what not, but this was stupid speed)

when we cruised to a stop, i told him if he pulled that shit once more, id never speak to him to him again. as far as i can remember the trip back was uneventful. thank god. you know what his driving was like in a car.... times that by ten on a bike and you get an idea how scary it was to be on the back with him

Just reading a part of BL I never really bother with but came across this part.

"We want to thank all of you who have already donated since the launch of the donations portal. During this time we have received about 20 donations from Bluelighters totaling approximately $390"

I was truly suprised, everyone that uses this board & all people have given is just under $400 is kinda bad in my view.
Though "Mr Bluelight" & his bredrin Tamborine-man aint no fan of mine this forum has really helped me out with info etc over the time since I've know it's here & feel I should give 'em something even though I am on a giro a small token of appreciation is due I feel.

How do you go about giving some wedge to the running of BL?
Anyone from EADD given some of their £'s to the cause (apart from the guy who's posts vanished of course)

EDIT - Seems it has to go through MAPS, personally I don't like the way MAPS go about their business for reasons I don't want to go into on a open board.
Oh well...........

^^ this.

Consider yourself responsible for reminding me to donate (Bodda), had intended to, but hadn't so far ... so I just did. Big + that it's worth double atm too.

We're considering having reward-based incentives for donators to encourage people to donate. Things like name changes, 'donator' handles.

The donation process is completely secure btw. Also it shows up as MAPS on bank statements; no affiliation with bluelight. There really is no excuse not to donate if you can spare the money (and most people can).

Things like https:// licences become possible with a little bit of money...

Am looking forward to winter, but not particularly all the commercial Christmas/New Year bollocks. I got the invite to my work office party today, which I'm sure will be Fun.

Mmm, I want to, but I'm still a bit paranoid about having to give my full name and address. I suppose I will at some point soon, though.

I have actually enjoyed at least 1 new years celebration in my youth. I was on speed and with a mate who was fuckin brilliant at getting girls, and we had so many snogs that night at the midnight hour, its an experience thats never been repeated though unfortunately.

How do you look forward to winter Swampy ? Ok i get that some days are beatifull when theres been a hard frost or a layer of undisturbed snow and theres a clear bright blue sky, but how rare are those days ? Thers far more awfull days with a bitter acrtic wind and grey skies and pissing down with rain or sleet. Sorry toi be so negative, but winter is generally something to be endured for me.

Christmas is fucking brutal. Can't stand it. Not that anything bad happens, perfectly decent meal with only close family but I still fucking hate it. I don't know what it is but I just find it incredibly depressing and find that even when I'm actually enjoying myself I feel like I'm being forced to have fun against my will lol. Weird. Fuck Christmas.

New Year is a winner though. Even though it often turns out to be a disappointment it's still usually a pretty good couple of days rolling about totally cunted.

I just hate family things in general. Christmas = Family. New Year = Friends. So New Year wins.
