How do you look forward to winter Swampy ? Ok i get that some days are beatifull when theres been a hard frost or a layer of undisturbed snow and theres a clear bright blue sky, but how rare are those days ? Thers far more awfull days with a bitter acrtic wind and grey skies and pissing down with rain or sleet. Sorry toi be so negative, but winter is generally something to be endured for me.

Well.. I'm possibly reminiscing about those blue skies/crispy snow days - come the 1st December I'll be swearing at the wind/rain/sleet. But I do tend to like the festive lights and food and decorations and stuff. This will be the first year in a while that I've been home for Christmas, though - the last few I've spent travelling. Manchester might be a bit more shit in comparison.

what will happen if BL doesnt get enough donations ? Cut out some of the subforums, archived threads ? Its inconceivable that it could actually be forced to shut down. Where would we all go ? The fucking Drugs Forum ? I cant stand that place, its heartless with its anonymous feedback thing. One guy desperate for help told his tragic life story, and some twat jumped in saying you must say SWIM, thats all they could say. What a fucking shit site that is.

the lights and the decorations make me feel all Bah Humbug. Me and another guy at work got slated for being miserable bastards when we didnt want to do the Secret Santa present shit. I cant stand that, allthough someone did make it amusing by giving a colleague a work keyboard in a box, the lad was getting all excited thinking he'd got a selection box and his reaction to the prank was fuckin hilarious. My uncle once gave me a christmas present of a box with a brick inside it, but there was some cash under the brick. That was a good one too.

i think a good proportion of EADDers are very anti-facebook. I've only 'friended' one EADDer on FB and that is our dear Knock.

Spent a couple of hours fucking up my test cuts with the router this afternoon. Decided to switch to the circular saw. Was getting all set to do a plunge cut and I find out I need a different reducer for my fine-cut blade They get you every time with their different standards. So about to give my new jigsaw a trial. Supposed to do a good straight cut but I reckon I'll make a wobbly line if I try hard enough

i think its great tbh, its allowed me to make contact with many old friends id lost contact with. Maybe some people think its too commercial and not cool or private, i dunno.

I use it to keep in contact with mates around the place - don't do timeline, or updates etc, or share personal photos etc. Share more photos on here with my digital family than I do with a lot of 'friends' on facebook :D. I don't like friend requests from +1's etc - you know my friend so by default were friends. Er no!

I like Twitter myself. It's great for breaking news, links to political blogs etc.
I've found out so much about my rights regarding the Jobcentre and benefits in general.
A lot of good stuff to be found if you following the right people and organisations.

It's only as good as the friends you have and pages you like, really. A lot of my friends on there are people I know from groups rather than people I know in real life. (Which is probably just as well, because my RL friends have a habit of inviting me to soirees and babies' birthday parties.)
