How did you get off your butt today V.2

I'm having issues developing my core lately, especially on my back. I've been doing dead lifts and flies with the cable machine, but it doesn't seem to be doing the trick. Any suggestions?

I'm wondering if pull ups could help.

a simple routine with weights would be some thing like this:
chins( or pull downs if you cant do chins) 3 sets to failure
Bent over Row 3 sets 6-12 reps
Pull downs ( rear) 3 sets 8-12 reps
One Arm dumbbell row 3 sets 8-12 reps.
add in a few of the exercises from the link above and you'd have a real solid routine.

I've always liked hanging leg raises for ultra core domination. Pullups are a great upper back builder. Keep up the deadlifts. Good luck :)

The saying "abs are made in the kitchen" also applies, and in the past I've noticed that simply cutting out liquid calories makes a huge difference in bodyfat levels. Other than a protein shake, most of the calories in liquids are simple sugars that don't do anything for us. Even drinks like Gatorade, which are advertised as "sports drinks" can do more harm than good if you aren't drinking them during the actual exercise.

edit: i did a few pullups today :) haven't been able to hang freely without pain in my left rotator cuff for many months now. well on the way to a good recovery, which is great.

Slack! you can do better than that :P

Having said that, I only got off my butt by coming to Uni and doing an exam. Now procrastinating in the midst of doing assignments on my butt. However, I do plan to go for a 30 minute run before I call it a night. Will report back with results later, assuming I make it to the gym - scratch that, I will make it to the gym. Loving fitness, it is a foundation for a happy and healthy existence :)

I'm cheating, cos I did this yesterday, but I'm damn proud I can still do a 20 mile bike ride w/o much residual soreness (aside from in my hind parts from sitting on the bicycle).

Awesome!!! I need the butt challenge to have a better butt!!! Is it 30 days as well?

A little bit of cardio and crunches. Had an intense debauchery last night so I didn't wanna kill myself in the gym.
