fantasy football 2013/2014 v. not the bl league

we're in our 5th year and i've never proposed a trade

until now

bob griffen/leveon bell

for

bradford/fred jackson

thoughts?
 
my team is decimated by injury. vereen done. amendola useless. lacy out after one play last week. daryl richardson out after one snap this week.

i think trent richardson is going to settle in nicely in indy and pay off.

i picked up jacquizz rodgers and jason snelling this week. started snelling. good decision.

my league was asleep on the obvious talent of jordan cameron. i drafted him reasonably early and they all laughed. after drew brees, he's my biggest producing player...

i won by over 40 points this week to get to 3-0. roll on week 4.

I picked up Snelling too and almost started him but took a chance with Starks of GB, oops. Didnt hurt me this week.

Picked up Cameron as well and did start him right alongside Jimmy Graham. That was a nice 1-2 punch with Brees as my starting QB.
 
i just don't trust daryl richardson's foot after last week...

the match-up is not great but maybe i just start jacquizz rodgers and jason snelling? lacy is still dizzy but on a bye and somebody beat me to bilal powell who i would probably have picked up and started...

available players are pierre thomas, woodhead, daniel thomas, bolden and the like. i don't think any of them really stick out except bolden (i'm in a ppr league). if i start bolden, do i sit snelling or rodgers? i'm leaning towards starting rodgers over snelling in that case...

if you have the space, just may pay off to add isiah pead before his bandwagon takes off
if it never takes off, it's always nice to have a guy you can ditch

dude may not be as focused, but is ability to drive past arm tackles and gain yards after contact, unlike richardson
also is a viable pass catching option

wouldn't be surprised to see him get 60-70% of snaps after week 6-7, probably won't be much of a scorer though

another ram's sleeper is brian quick, is getting better every time he takes the field, impressed with his YAC, better than anyone on team, one day he will be a beast, just not sure how long it takes
 
i have a quandry this week. my starting defence is seattle who have basically won me 2 of my 4 wins this season. but two of my players - reggie wayne and trent richardson are playing seattle this week and i hate having more than one player going up against my d.

so, what to do? just start seattle and hope my guys rack up yards and no scores... seems silly.

or pick up a d just for this week. available defences are, as you might imagine, pretty thin. viable options include: tennessee; baltimore; new orleans; buffalo; cleveland; houston; san diego; philadelphia

with the giants woes, i was leaning towards philly but their defence sucks. tempted by san diego at oakland... baltimore @ miami is tempting too.

yahoo fantasy predicts houston will have a good day in sf but i don't see it.

what would you do?

I'd lean towards Cleveland because they are at home against Buffalo. Its a rookie QB on national TV for the first time. He is bound to throw a pick or 2 and maybe even fumble. Plus, the big matchup on the outside is Hayden v Johnson which should be fun to watch.
 
ah fuck it. somebody picked them up. i'll go with the chargers. you better not let me down, dwe...

i just have to decide what to do with my kickers: zuerlein or prater? been waiting for zuerlein all season and it's just not happening. one more week, fingers crossed stl gets going against the awful jags or the chance of 6 extra points and nothing else from prater? :)

with all due respect to china rider, stl are awful across the board. givens was a bust. richardson was a bust. time to give up on zuerlein i think...

I think against oakland, chargers will score 8-11 points on defense

also bro see if kovak from SD is available he is 100 s percent on his FGs

ok, it's my qb bye week. drew brees is on holiday and i have no replacement. pickings are, as you might expect, a little slim. options include weedon, smith, dalton, roethlisberger, bradford then all the crap like geno smith, thaddeus lewis and carson palmer.

leaning towards dalton or bradford but also tempted by weeden (just wish he'd start throwing it to my TE again...)

thoughts?

Well, for the record I did say that it was possible Rivers would have a good season and that the trade would work out for you. But I have to admit you were right.
