You have to laugh at Utd's dealings. Is it Moyes? or is it the other new guy who's fucking it all up? They bid 12 million euros for Daniel De Rossi. More insulting transfer dealings. Try doubling that offer

Leaving Pogba slip away to Juve for almost nothing and keeping Cleverley was a huge error. Utd in decline

Sorted. Didn't realise that the Chelsea v Bayern Munich game was being shown on ITV 1.
Got something to watch now.

Tough game tomorrow for forest against recently relegated wigan, still unbeaten, top of the league and in round 3 of the league cup.

A potent striker and back up in CM and we may well seriously challenge :)

Arsenals group eh? Fucking hell!

Delighted with beating Man U today. Sturridge has been some signing for us. They were all over us second half but we hung on

Arsenal get a lot of criticism, but it's the opinion of this marine, that it's only due to Arsene being French, if he had been British the press would be full of praise for him for having kept Arsenal in the CL for 16th straight while being a scrooge, he's the only thing keeping the club doing a Liverpool and going down the ladder.

Imagine if some incopetent like Redknapp had been Arsenal coach, the press would be going crazy at his genius, keeping the team in the top-4 year year after year without spending huge amounts on overated fad players, they do have a large wage bill though.

As long as the fans are happy to dish out the cash to go to the Emirates then I don't see a problem.

I personally like Tottenham better because most of my London mates follow that. I don't even think they need to spend that much, a proper keeper and perhaps some clinical finisher and they would be sorted.

Win over Tottenham followed by signing Ozil. Wheres your apologies cunts?

Ozil is a class act and will be great to see in the prem but weren't Arsenal supposed to be buying a world class striker? Higuain, Rooney, Suarez, Benzema? £45m fee and £200k wages a week for a midfielder, Wenger will have to stop talking about FFP now.

I would've thought a couple of defenders and a striker were first on the list.

Very surprised Chelsea are letting Lukaku go back to West Brom. Felt bad for him missing that pen in the Super Cup the other night.

So this happened.

MANCHESTER UNITED LATEST
"Confirmation from Manchester United that three men who reportedly attempted to negotiate a deal to sign Athletic Bilboa midfielder Ander Herrera were not acting on behalf of the Premier League champions and were, for want of another word, imposters.

"Reports in Spain claim three men dressed in black suits and claiming to be United "representatives" spent an hour at the La Liga offices attempting to negotiate a deal. The move collapsed at the 11th hour."

There are also reports fucking Ed Woodward didnt realise how high the release clause was for Herrera ana didnt have the cash (they wanted cash only), so we went and fucking splurged 28m on Fellaini. Its ok though, a month ago he had a buy out clause of 24m but it expired, but fuck it just wait a for more weeks and pay the extra yeah??

Contraoe on loan though, not bad. Seen him on the wing before, but not exactly someone we need in that position, but ill take him. Oh a good goal scoring midfielder would have been nice, I think some people are going to get sacked.

Wenger will have to stop talking about FFP now.

Why?

What part of this deal hasn't been funded by previous player sales/genuine commercial sponserships etc?

I agree that Arsenal could have done with another striker - even if just to provide backup to Giroud. I can't believe we've spent years trying to get rid of Bendtner, it looks as if Palace (+ possibly another club?) are on the verge of signing and then we pull out as we haven't been able to get our act together. However depending on how things pan out I'm hopeful we may get someone in January.

Wenger has been ripping Real Madrid all summer about the Bale transfer and complaining about other clubs spending money. The 50 million euros spent on Ozil yesterday has pretty much made Madrid their Bale spending back when you look at their other fees received e.g. Higuain, Callejon, Albiol.

It must be gutwrenching watching Wenger become the highest paid manager in England, winning nothing, spending no cash, selling their best players while paying, probably the highest prices ticket prices in world football. The Arsenal fans deserved this signing.

As much of a genius as Ozil is, another striker and central defender was needed especially with Podolski out until Christmas. Giroud and Koscielny's staying fit is very important now. Maybe should've bought Julio Cesar too but I've heard Viviano is decent.

Why will he? It's 150k p.w and that's what we can afford, we let like 25 players go. Bit of a stupid comment IMO.

Good business sense there. Let 25 players go and buy 1 player last minute when other areas of the team need strengthening, after sitting on piles of money all summer. Wenger's only earned £60 million since Arsenal last won a trophy, doubt he's bothered too much.

Anyway a sort of annoying 2 internationals now seems like we barerly even started, moldova should get smashed but you never know with England. :)

SO utd spent 27.5 million on a bloke for whom they bid jointly £28 million along with Baines for ?

Does that mean Baines is now worth £500,000 or that United is run by a bunch of morons at board level
The same ones who knew Fellaini had a release clause of 23.5m 2 weeks ago but decided to buy him for 27.5 on Monday

Can only sit back and laugh, and to top it off I might just book myself a flight to Bilbao when the winter window opens, sone some shades and wear a black suit and get me 10% cut of Herrera as well.

42.5 million on a player you didnt need

I saw in person how Eden Hazard played Robben and Ribery off the park on Friday night
£10 million cheaper as well
Not to mention Oscar for £18.9 million

Ozils a fine player no doubt, but its a real desperation buy from your mob.

You cannot tell me Ozil is worth 42.5 when Spurs got Erikson for £13million who is just as good as Ozil from what I have seen
Same old gooners lol

Should have just bought Julio Cesar and put a serious bid in for Vargas from Juve with the money instead.
Panic buys will happen though when your board messes around over £2 million on deals like Higuian and Bernard ..both of whom would have cost less that the total Ozil feee lol

Yes and no, our person making our signings "Ed Woodward" has been at UTD for a fair few years, hes like the glazers love child though they love him, mainly because all he ever used to do was get UTD deals. Like corporate sponsorship's, he made us a fuck load of money, but when it comes to signings players he clearly does not have a clue what hes doing.

Basically he was just sending through faxes of "£25m fabregas, £30m khedira, £12m de rossi" etc etc, He dosent understand its probably wise to speak to both clubs and the players before making a shot in the dark, first to see if they even want to come and then start the bidding, or if they are even for sale, then he fucked around for a few weeks. Then we tried to negociate with Bilbao who are notoriously hard, it was going to take longer than a few hours.

It took bayern weeks to get Martinez, also them people coming out of the La Liga offices were the lawyers who signed martinez for bayern, they were helping with the herrera deal, which also fell through as again the board fucked up with the release clause, something to do with them wanting cash. Anyway Fellaini will improve our midfield, hes not going to make it any worse so no harm done. And maybe we can go back for herrera in january.

So what you do/ Panic buy on the last day and spend more than you should, very inexperienced board yes

Funny all the Madrid players saying how gutted they were Ozil left, and other players even from Barca. All the fans were signing "dont sell ozil" at the Bale "ceremony" and got told to "shush" by perez, ha.
