Eto'o to sign this evening

fucking quality , does not have the pace he once did , but the guy can finish when one of Mata/Hazard/Oscar/Schurrle/Willian lays it on the plate for him

SO happy about this signing, much better than Rooney
Still amost the complete striker, left foot , right foot, good in the air and can hold it up

Isn't he like 35-36 now ?(actually just checked he's only 32, seems to have been around for ages) Better player than Shrek at his peak, not so sure about now mind you. And do you think Torres will still be at Chelsea in 2014 ? I think he may be moved on in January maybe on a loan initially though due to his wages.

Le'MIX He is only 32 and still quality
Just a one year stopgap really and a really mature mentor for the likes of Lukaku so I really like the signing

We are stuck with Torres, nobody will pay £180 a week for him
I still think the guy can play , just not an out and out striker, would be much better in a 4-3-3 as an old fashioned inside right position

Group A: MANCHESTER UNITED, Shakhtar Donetsk, Bayer Leverkusen, Real Sociedad
Group B: Real Madrid, Juventus, Galatasaray, Copenhagen
Group C: Benfica, Paris St Germain, Olympiakos, Anderlecht
Group D: Bayern Munich, CSKA Moscow, Manchester City, Viktoria Plzen
Group E: CHELSEA, Schalke, Basel, Steaua Bucharest
Group F: ARSENAL, Marseille, Borussia Dortmund, Napoli
Group G: Porto, Atletico Madrid, Zenit St Petersburg, Austria Vienna
Group H: Barcelona, AC Milan, Ajax, CELTIC

poor Celtic
Lucky Chelsea

Shakhtar will beat Man United in the Ukraine and would not be surprised to see them win at Old Trafford as well
Arsenal will not go through in that group

I'd say AC Milan out at the group stage, the Barca thing is getting annoying though, every year.

Group F is definately the more interesting, should be quite exciting, can't make any predictions at the moment, but I think Borussia will finish first with Arsenal or Napoli coming second, Arsenal have experience on their side while Napoli have a very shakey defence and haven't really settled in the Benitez era yet, they're better than Arsenal offensively though. Napoli-Marseille will be a mess off the pitch, fucking hell, the filthiest set of supporters in Europe, pikey fest.

Group B is decent too, I'm quite curious to see how the scum fare against Real, since Ancelotti went to the Bernabeu I like them a lot more, Galatasaray are fairly strong as well, I haven't followed their summer buying so I don't know whether they have strenghtned or not but last season against Real they were excellent, hopefully their fans will give the travelling Juve fans a warm welcome like they did with those Leeds fans a few years back.

My dark horse for the tournament is Atletico Madrid

Plenty of bananas and monkey sounds at the Porto zenit matches.

Celtic were always going to make up the numbers but at least they get three huge matches to keep their coffers ticking over.

Man city to get bundled out early too unless they learn to win away. Moscow to surprise a few

Man Utd drew Shakhtar Donetsk lol

they are a top team , they could well win at OT and will certainly beat Man Utd at home

They ran rings around us at the Bridge last year , bloody top team

Yeah, havent they sold like there 3 best players though this season? They ran rings round a team that finished 14 points off UTD.

Anyway, you dont want Rooney now? After all that?? He was never coming now though was he, lets be realistic, we are no Arsenal. Eto though on a 1 year deal, over a potential Rooney 4 year deal or so? Heh.

Why have Rooney on a 4 year deal? all that does is hold Lukaku's development back
Sammy is a perfect stopgap till Lukaku stars in the World Cup and then takes over .

Yeah, havent they sold like there 3 best players though this season? They ran rings round a team that finished 14 points off UTD.

They have some serious south american connections and replaced like for like this summer
Spent £60 million this summer on
Bernard
Wellington Nem
Fred
and Fernando

And some Argentinian striker whose name evades me at the moment

Yeah but you could see him going back on a loan to Atletico, with Chelski paying a decent portion of his wages, or even pay up his contract to a certain degree. Amazing to think how far he has fallen, the guy should be at his peak now. I guess it's a bit like Michael Owen, too much, too soon.. He was pretty much the best CF in the world for the 1st part of his career and Owen looked a world beater till he reached the ripe old age of urrm 26..

I think Moyes is feeling the rush a little now, Roma confirmed that UTD have enquired about De Rossi but it was rejected, we have also tabled a 30m euroes offer for Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera, they wont negociate, and will only accept his buy out of 36m euroes :S Hes not worth that, I dont know though crazy transfer market.

Stupid prices everywhere, in the meantime Liverpool are in the shit again, there official twitter account taking the piss out of munich, classy.

Celtic beat Barca at home in '12 and Barca needed a 4th minute of stoppage time goal at the nou camp. What's the problem? :)
