I raised this question after reading Futura's report about his attempted suicide and subsequent recovery, but I feel that maybe it deserves more general discussion;
OK many drug users and probably a lot of the general public seem to think that MDMA is a relatively safe drug, when used within limits. However, I have read a multitude of reports from people on here, and elsewhere about long, drawn out recovery periods from depression, brain-zaps, low energy and just general bad mental space. I know we all would love to think that our favourite chemical is safe to use, but really, are we kidding ourselves, or are these events due to adulterated pills or substances sold as what they are not, or just over use of MDMA?
Defendants of the drug will no doubt cry the latter, or that bad come down reports are written by lightweights, both of which may be true. I have no opinion, I suffer very little from come downs, but I still wonder whether the drug is as harmless as we would like to believe. Any thoughts?
