do one small mdma session and focus on the good in your life. happy moments, what you want to do in the future. you are clearly very young and a regiment of drugs is only gonna fuck you up like so many others on here. so I would say one low dose of a introspective psychedelic, whether it is mdma, mushrooms or lsd. whether it works or not wait at lest a month till you do it again. this is most likely to help. a once a month maximum introspective, positivity reflection of what is good and will be good.

though to be honest if you haven't started taking drugs don't. its no going to help. even what I suggested may not help.

and definitely do not rely on things like alcohol, meth, heroin, benzos or heavy sedatives

Cannabis is the worst substance to use if you have issues with your past...wtf...what is it with people thinking it is so harmless? Sure, physically it is not addicting and you can not OD, but it can and DOES cause psychosis. I have seen a few friends experience psychosis and I MYSELF have been through it because of smoking weed and making it a habit. If you issues with your past STAY AWAY FROM WEED. Any other psychedelic can cause you to think about things even more and it may creep you out.

Drugs will fuck up your life and when you will have drugs problems coupled with your other problems it will be like this; 1+1 = 10! You will be in a dark, dark place and also have no will-power to give up drug use if you get addicted.

TO answer your question: Opiates are best, followed behind by benzos. But, if you form a habit- you are fucked. Beware, you have been warned.

Drugs will never solve your problems, unless you're seeing a psychiatrist and getting help with drugs in a supervised fashion.

That said, the best "distraction" you can find is something that occupies your mind, like exercise, or hanging out with a friend, or even volunteering. IME it works just as well as any drug without any of the negative effects.

I cannot beileve some people are giving this guy a list of substances. This is a recipe for disaster. This is the reason i am now a down and out heroin addict. Because i wanted to stop thinking about the past but guess what the past never goes away. As soon as you come down the past hits you harder than ever and you end up x10 worse off. It'll always be in your mind. Get therapy, distract yourself, do ANYTHING but drugs. Check out 'The Dark Side' they are fantastic there, they give great support and you will find a lot of like minded people. This is a harm reduction form we are not here to tell you what is going to help you 'forget your past' it goes against everything we stand for. Get some proper help please.

If you really seek to forget the past for a short moment with drug which as said before, solve nothing and will add to the problem but Dissociative are great for that purpose and are not as addictive as previous proposition, things like PCP, Ketamine, MXE, etc.
Cant there be substances that work like that?

Obviously its horrible advice to numb your pain with hard drugs permanently but being able to go to bad memories from a neutral standpoint and somehow dealing with it could work.

I did dxm and mxe and thought they sucked but thats just me

I answer most questions asked directly, I'm pretty sure OP is aware that using drugs to cope with depression is a bad idea.

story of my life. I have tried everything under the sun. Ketamine, NO2, Cocaine, Amphetamines, MDMA, hair-ron, Rx opioids, Benzos, Booze, LSD, Mushrooms, Cannabis, and some unknown pills/caps/pow. However in all this experience the bottom line is that everything wears off. Well some of these substances will have permanent (and have on me) after effects and brain damage so tread lightly. I have found Cannabis to be the best because i can use it non stop. If i could find ketamine i would live on that shit because it really does what you/I are looking for it totally numbs ya from reality and you dont feel bad at all. Coke is too costly and really fucked with my head. Also amphetamines and mdma fucked wiht my head and while there were some good things about mdma it is not worth it as it has seemd to caused more depression. NO2 wears off so quick and good luck getting the dental grade. Heroin is excellent. It is the feeling of an orgasm for the first bit then like 3-4 hours of calm, but becarefull because if you dont have more you will do anything to get more. Rx opi are fuckers. They are decent orally, they fuck my body up (lungs) if snorted so i dont do them. BENZOs, that might be the answer to your question, they do the trck for me with pot. LSD and Shrooms are best to be avoided unless a specific reason presents itself. Also ime it has been next to impossible to procure quality/genuine acid
