Which Albums Have You Listened to the Most?

For example, Carter's Love Album isn't my favourite but I have still spent money on it. I'd never 'disown' a band for a shit (imo) album

Depends, if you still like it but just think it's subpar from what they usually do then listening to it is fine. It'd be strange to listen to something you didn't like purely because it was done by people who have previously done stuff you have liked though.

Yeah. And like it even though it's reallllllly not as great as their other stuff. Liking it only cos they have produced stuff before that you love and respect.

No.
If an album is shit it's shit. Some of my fav artists are prolific [ zappa, bowie, Venetian Snares ] and i don't like everything they've done. Even if i have a lot of love for an artist im not gunna waste time listening to music i dont really like.

I don't like neglecting albums. Also, I find it hard having a favourite, just like how I can't figure out which one out of my twin-brothers is my favourite. ;)

@ gos

Well its true that often songs that you dont instantly click with often turn out to be the ones that stand the test of time, some albums need some effort too.... [ Disintegration by the cure is the example that springs to mind first ]

However, if given some effort because i like the artist, i still think its shit i won't play it.

That's totally fair enough. I'd feel guilty if I neglected an album though! But I'm gay like that =D

I know what you mean. But theres not really that many indie/alt rock choices in here. theres some dance stuff and heavy metal and lots of floyd for exampole which MM dont like. Not trying to pick a fight, just making conversation.......

I thought of loads more last night, couple of which are on your list Brimz. Everyone, apart from MM because he's racist and doesn't like reggae, plays Exodus and Kaya to death but were all too cool (or racist) to say Bob Marley.
