Generally speaking I'm against shooting anything you won't eat, hence why I always used to stick to wild boars. BUT, the pigeons are basically like flying rats, vermin, they breed like crazy, soil everything and can even transmit diseases, so I consider them fair game.

Edit: Word FUBAR, the UK is insane, you lot have so many crazy laws, the most retarded thing is that morons actually blame the EU or Brussels for it, while in reality it's just Whitehall.

Are you debating between a cat and a dog btw? I havent answered the dog question you asked me a while back elsewhere, but based on your cat debate, I guess you're deliberating one or the other?

Want pet! Life is too up/down/changeable for a dog at the moment, ie I'm at home all day but I may well not be in the nearish future and a dug needs a stable home life or he turns into one of those neurotic shit dogs which barks all the time and ruins everyone's lives in revenge. I was raised with cats, but more and more I'm seeing them as an unnecessary burden on the local bird population, which I love.

I make a point of coughing or clearing my throat whenever such noises leak through our adjacent open windows too ;)

But you know what I mean- when you can't just hear FART > PLOP! but are treated to something protracted and high-pitched which sounds like it might have escaped a 1960s Soho jazz joint.

I think they're undergoing an extended CRB check or something, it's been delayed 24-48 hours for some reason.

alasdair, knock, Albion, N-T, tambo and myself are currently locked in talks in the BL command centre.

The quality and sheer quantity of the applications far exceeded what we could have expected. It would have been good to annnounce the successful candidate yesterday as planned, but these things can't be rushed.

EDIT>>>and as jancrow intimated, full background checks and references are being followed through meticulously. (Obviously not CRB checks though jancrow you fucking idiot.)
 
So the wait continues then for the new mod announcement.
Good luck to whoever does get the job, I wouldn't fancy it but I'm turning into a lazy bastard so that's why.
