I think you're confused, the trip wasn't bad at ALL lmao. It was the comedown that got rather awful, but that turned itself around in a few days. It's been a month of near abstinence since then. My parents were in Alaska over the 4th of July weekend, so I went a bit overboard.

I wasn't planning on rolling until late August for my Birthday but when a sexy ginger says she wants to roll you don't say no lol.. she couldn't understand even why I wanted to wait another week but at least I've got a month in between there now.

i was your age once

What? and here I thought Sebastians_Ghost made a deal with the devil to have you summoned from hell to watch over BL for all eternity ;)

Whoa... what did I miss out on? Don't answer that...

Anyways what's going on cuddle puddlers? Just got off a 12 hour work shift and am rolling tomorrow! So stoked! :D

^ Nice, after this I plan on keeping it to 1-4 times a year and acid about once a year. :)

Made a funny track with southpark in it haha, yeah it's about drugs :)

Don't know if you were going for this, but it is a super relaxing chill track. Love it man, good work! :)

It's hard to do, especially when you're bored on a Friday night and you keep reading about everyone else rolling their tits off. Once you get to that point, though, every time you roll it knocks you on the floor like your first time. Well, I can't speak for everyone--your mileage may vary.

sup etards
still clean
that song makes me remember going to shows at soundstage baltimore
i wish i had never gone and seen high contrast+netsky that night, hospitality night last eyar
then i wouldnt have tried heroin when i did and i wouldnt be the mess i am today

I mean, I'm a bad ecstasy kid, really. I never preferred electronic music while on MDMA. They say that MDMA will enhance whatever you love to listen to while sober, and for me, that's metal, indie rock, and folk. Tegan and Sara is pretty transcendent while rolling.

i'm a heroin addict
not an ecstasy kid
i mean i used to like rolling
i'm sure i would still enjoy it
but i have to abstain from all drugs in order to recover.
or i'd go back to diesel eventually most likely

I'm bad--I still listen to, like, power metal and '80s music when rolling. 8(

I've been a metal head for my entire life. I recently (past 3 years) got into electronic music and definitely prefer that to party to, but there is nothing better than a song with ACTUAL MEANINGFUL lyrics. (Hope that doesn't offend anyone... :S)

What power metal bands are you into? I'm a big fan of blind guardian, still waiting for them to come back to Vancouver!

But back kinda to what I was originally thinking, I find when I roll at home or anywhere that isn't a show/rave/massive I usually end up putting on some of my favorite metal bands. I actually used to make sure that my friends wouldn't let me put on metal because I'd always end up in a loop playing just one band singing along haha.

Might have to blast some tomorrow since I'm not gonna be at a show ;D

I love Kamelot, Nightwish, Blind Guardian, Tarot, Sonata Arctica, Falconer, and stuff like that.

Nowadays, I'm mostly listening to harder, post-metal type stuff, like Baroness, Kylesa, and Agalloch. I think I burned out on the cheese factor with all those power metal bands, but I still love it in spurts. I always said power metal hit the same receptors in my head that are normally used for "happy hardcore" in other people when rolling. "Nemo" by Nightwish is still forever my favorite song to listen to on MDMA.

thats better den dat power metal
we used to play that when we'd shoot dope in my car
we thought we weer all cool shootin dope parked on teh block with that shit blaring

Nice, I used to listen to a ton of Sonata Arctica and Nightwish.

Some of my favorites are Turisas, Ensiferum, Equilibrium, Wintersun, Blind Guardian, Amon Amarth, Children of Bodom, Crauchan, Eluvietie, Norther... just to name a few.

By far one of my favorite songs to roll to:

I would call Amon Amarth, Eluvietie, Children of Bodom, and Norther more melodic death metal, but they're all good regardless. I've found melodeath to be maybe teetering on the edge of hard to listen to while rolling--I don't mind it sober.

Omnium Gatherum is also really good, if you haven't heard them yet.

I also love Sentenced.

Oh yeah Norher, COB, and Amon Amarth are pretty heavy, Eluvietie is hard to just put one genre under them. Turisas, Ensiferum and Equilibrium are my favorites from that list, oh! And Rebellion (German band)

Ensiferum is pretty much melodic death metal but at the same time they have songs like Ad Victorian which is an amazingly composed song which is super folky and midevil-y

I always found Ensiferum to be missing something. I don't feel like their songs are very deep, and the gang vocals on choruses are a little corny. But, I'm just basing that on one album I heard from them like eight or nine years ago, so it's possible it might go down more easily nowadays.

I also really dig bands like Opeth and Amorphis.

Christ, it almost feels like I'm rolling--I'm blabbing on and on about metal. Sounds about normal for me. :)
