EADD Benzo Discussion v.5

Heard a lot of good things about it, it's being used in alcohol WD treatment quite extensively here.

I had a choice of pregabalin or baclofen when I tapered off of 150mg oxazepam daily, and I went for pregabalin. I did wonder whether baclofen wouldn't have been the "safer, less recreational" choice of the two, though.
 
3months may be too fast, I hearing 8-14 months on my clons journey down from 8mg. Have it at 3.5mg and chip off that 0.5 every couple weeks. Make it comfortable as possible. Some doctors try diff methods or replace this with that. If you on something new now thats your new problem. Thats how I see it at least. I wish they had better treatment for this to speed up the process. If you rush could go crazy, I deff feel that way already.

yeah but starting a patient at 24mg thank fk I knew he hasn't a clue ,opened bnf said oh , .25,.5,1mg or 2 mg your on 25mg val ill give you 12x2mg a day!
 
Ya I would try it also just never heard of it and have no insurance. I a bit frustrated about that so please take no offense.
 
That baclofen is interesting, I just read whole section on it. Its used for muscle relaxer/spinal usually but also says alcohol withdrawl. Its rx only in us, no info on uk status. They do say it has dependance and withdrawls similar to benzo. Sounds similar to soma which used to help my chronic pain issue.

I was on pregabalin before gabapentin pregab much stronger and relaxing benzoish where gabas just make me sleep then wake feelin drunk!
 
I recommend people in us who have no insurance and scrape $800 a month for meds and need em should holiday to uk for a while your med money would rent you a small flat and all scripts are free in Scotland anyway England /wales are £5.00 I think I get 336 clonaz 2mg a month 56 old formula oc40 56 oc20 and 112 20mg oxynorm ir capsules plus 3600mg day gabapentin and 30 x 36mg concerta month costs £0 its paid off national insurance small % of wage goes in a month free healthcare for all, last thing needed is people getting sick worrying about getting sick!
 
Ya at least mxe is natural. I about to go to chinatown on a mission.

At one point I was thinking about moving to france or england or holland. You guys def have the better healthcare model and us politicians need to do similar here. We flooded with doctors and money hungry med companies. Until they sort that out nothing will change here. $800 a week in drugs is where I used to be, money used to flow thru NY. I can't afford that now. How much does a 1 bedroom flat go for out there? Now you got me thinking, maybe need a change of scenery. Can't imagine you guys having worse neighborhoods than brooklyn but I know there some bad areas out there. Like to stay in regular, hood nothing too crazy.

Dont think you will get much support for health tourism here m8, its theft from UK taxpayers after all.
 
How on earth people end up on taking doses like 10 mg clonazepam daily (by prescription)?

Are there really doctors who up the dose everytime you say: "This doesn't work anymore."?

That sounds great, always thought it was as expensive nyc there for housing, 300 is 1000 less than I pay now in the bad hood. The reason I said bad areas is because I have some friends out there who had they whole flat robbed over a high end mountain bike. Still good news you saying its all sweat out there. I might be able to get some dual citizenship. My fam has welsh and dutch heritage. I thinking either uk or holland to be honest. Check both out for couple years. Has to be better than brooklyn and small chance I getting shot again. Health tourism lol thats a good one. Hey we treat everyone here so shouldn't be a problem, and I work/paytaxes. I don't need much healthcare to be honest. Would like being soo close to the alps. The mountains are my real drug out choice.

Mate that's not realistic .

You are the only one on here that get's that sort opf script .
So don't act as if we all can in the UK cos in reality many folk can't get anything .

I'm ok as i get a reasonable script but think of the folk that get fuk all init ?

I was thinking the same, thats a huge list of meds. I would be happy with one of those scripts. No more fear and loathing pill collecting for me. Some people need it so hopefully getting relief. Here its very tight now getting scripts and having it filled at pharmacy a whole diff challenge. 12 years ago we had the free scripting doctors. There was a big crackdown lately. People forced to go on a street hunt or detox.
